Unless the shocks are rusted through, or leaking badly, there is no need for new ones. Even leaks seem to disappear when you get the pressures under control..... Gotta start shopping around for new shocks as well. Oof, next big expense.

Surely. I know that the globes regulate the fluid pressure but I still think of the shocks in the conventional way. Lol. I look forward to getting these new ones in to stabilize the car. I've been avoiding offroading until I get the AHC sustenance up to snuff.Yeah that's a common misconception about the AHC...the globes are the shocks.
A few here have replaced the bushings (which are dirt cheap) on the AHC shocks.Surely. I know that the globes regulate the fluid pressure but I still think of the shocks in the conventional way. Lol. Riffman I'm in a similar position to you although this would be my third order from impex
They reported everything in their warehouse one week ago, I chased on Monday, they replied saying they are exceptionally busy but will send it out soonest.
Their website has been down for 36 hours now for me.
I am quite nervous as they have $1800 of paid for parts of mine. I'm not expecting any problems but websites down for maintenance do make me unsure.
In contrast amayama just shipped $400 of parts no problem!
I wonder if it has Russian ownership? I get bounced from Japanese to Russian pages.good to know. My order was placed on 2/14 and last I checked it was still "processing" on their website. Now their site is down for maintenance so now I'm a bit in the dark.
The site seems to be active now, but the employees have Russian names so there might be something there. Definitely a Japanese company operating out of Japan, but Russian folks working there.I wonder if it has Russian ownership? I get bounced from Japanese to Russian pages.View attachment 2936469
Got shipping confirmation today. Total shipping was $110.76, $542.80 for the globes for a total of 653.56. No eta yet, just a FedEx tracking number.Just ordered 4 @ $542. Waiting on shipping. Will update.
Seems typically of their system no matter how you pay.Got shipping confirmation today. Total shipping was $110.76, $542.80 for the globes for a total of 653.56. No eta yet, just a FedEx tracking number.
I would recommend you wait until you get a final shipping number. When I got the email saying the parts arrived at the warehouse I logged in and paid for shipping immediately. Then the next day got an email that the shipping weight had increased so there was now an unpaid balance ($2.77) on my account, which required I log back in and pay a bit more. Not sure if that added a delay or not, just an FYI.
