So Michael,
about those boxes...
and the confirmation about the aux fuel tank...
and the pictures...

Just keeping the thread (and idea) alive.
:)

I am still waiting for the aux tanks to show up, I have been told they are in country (USA) but waiting to see them:mad:

I am still working on the boxes, hoping the waiting will produce something.

Cheers,

Michael

i'll remove your name from the list then Ishobie...

update, waiting for a quote for shipping.

anyone want anything from France to be shipped over?

Wayne, keep me on the list please, i think Japan4x4's box is an HZJ75 box, I need one for an HZJ79. I need more than one box also.

Let me know the cost when you are all set Wayne.

Thanks,

Oh yeah it is red. And it came off a truck with serial number 0000001.

It was the first off the line and a local dealer used it as a display in his shop for ten years or so. Then he sold it to a local shop who converted the cab and chassis to a buggy and sold me the box. It has provisions for the rear tank but I did not get the tank.

The place I bought it from is about 8 km from the front gate of the plant where it was built which explains the 10 km on the truck.

just think when we buy a 70 series in nz in comes with no tray/deck/wellside/box/nothing!! we call it a cab & chassis! and buy a locally made tray/deck/wellside/box/something for a cupla grand on the asking price!!

update:
the 79 series boxes do not fit on the 75 series trucks, the wheel well opening is 2" further back than the 75 series box and the mounts are different. the box itself would sit 4" back fromt he back of the cab.
i had 3 confirmed sales and the idea of sitting on 1 boxes for an indefintate period of time is mot feasible.

this option is closed unless someone else wants to run with it.

Its because of the 79 series cab which is 4 inches longer.
Steel trays forever;)
