anyone want to try one or two of the trails out by Montrose with me next year? Who wants to come wheel with Matt??!
@The Eradicator

You also need to do Carnage Canyon and Chinaman Gulch. They are in BV.

the reason for suggesting the trails near Montrose is that they are only a 45-50 minute drive from Ouray. could be a potential day trip (more realistically bring camp and stay there that night before heading back to the KOA for the next morning) looks like the easiest trail in that system (Die Trying) will take a full day for a small group

@ajax1 has been wanting to do this in the past.
Bringing an extra truck full of parts next year Matt?

goal is ZERO parts failures. Already almost there in preventing everything i broke from happening again. Completely new motor mount setup done, new transmission crossmember done, still running the weak bellhousing but I think the new motor/trans mount setup should prevent future issues. Stronger bellhousing is here though. What else...
New power steering pump installed along with relocating my reservoir to hopefully prevent burning up any more pumps.
Rear diff is armored now
And saving up for a ARB locker, which should fix my issue with breaking rear crosspins. Haven't had a axle shaft issue yet, hopefully it stays that way. I carry spares of those though

I'm sure i'll still break something though, I almost always do

Am installing a ARB locker soon. Could be interested.🤔🔧🛠🤞

ARBs are great. You'll start eating axle shafts after installing one....

An ARB doesn't put any more load on the shafts then a lunchbox locker does, it just doesn't have the weak link of the crosspin. I've been wheeling with the 80 axle and lunchbox locker for 5 years now and the crosspin on Imogene was the first issue I've had.

True, I forgot you had the lunchbox. Thought you had one of the factory elockers.

I will just need to get a complete exo cage done and I will be good lol

who's down for a SAS5 Rubicon afterparty. It was only about a 12 hour drive from Ouray (not including a two hour nap at the Utah border, and stopping at Cruiser Outfitters as well as re-sealing my rear diff at a Wendy's parking lot)
