Everything I've read is things went south for him. Trollhole seems to be the new go-to guy for soft tops.

Here's a recent discussion on Eshan:
Going to order a soft top with Bows from Eshan

Yes, apparently Trollhole is the way to go. Not one negative response from top. Pay more, but secure and quality second to none.

I'm assuming he doesn't do the frame for it either? also are frames removable incase one wants the hardtop back on?

You can get bows from him. Just have to trust you will get them going with a payment from western union.

Caveat Emptor

Ask Kurt @cruiseroutfit or @pardion about Eshan before you purchase from him. IIRC he has some unfinished business, to put it mildly.

You can buy bows from me or real steel. They are the same product. I'm a whopping 25$ cheaper. Tops are through me somewhat. I'm now sending people straight to my manufacturer and they are fulfilling orders. I'm just doing Q & A on all the technical stuff. Tops get out quicker since I don't have to drive across town.

Shot you a pm. let me know where I can browse the colors and if there are multiple styles. I'll probably decide by end of January

Eshan is still available. Give it time. I emailed him a couple months ago and waited a week for a response and didn't get one. Ended up buying a bestop then he replied the next week that the top and bows shipped are around $1200. Too late for me. Wish I would have waited before I bought the bestop.

I think top is $1200 ish alone. Frame is another $900 ish??

Yes the tops we make are not cheap. But we use the best of everything to make them. So they will last.
