Nice-It's funny, but you basically cannot get nice upholstery work in the USA, at least not for a reasonable price.

well here in Costa Rica, it is very common becouse the OEM interiors are very hard to find and very expensive, this job includes the installation, fabrication and materials $500, I think is cheap cosidering the hand work it is very nicelly done

Hi ALL, Thanks Oinker for asking, yes it was a real earthquake but by furtune of us My and my family is fine here in San jose, the capital the there was just minior damage ( windows, cracks on the walls and heart atacks by the scare of the movment, my home it moved like a ship in the middle of storm, but just 20miles north from San jose, the sutiation unfurtulladly is hard, 23 dead 12 lost the highway to sapapiqui ( epicenter zone ) 8 miles from the road destroyed still 1500 people incomunicated, the US military and the Colombian Army are helping our helicopters to take that people out from the impact zone, very Sad, but nature is like that , people burried while they where driving and families burried on their own homes, we are sending water and food, but I really whant to go ask pernition to my manager and go to help.

thanks

I was just looking at your pictures and all. Very interesting!

Where exactly are you in San Jose? We might come down over Semana Santa this year so it would be neat to meet up if that works for you. I might even drive the '55 down https://forum.ih8mud.com/fj55-iron-...972-september-potm-cruiser-guy-guatemala.html.

The wheel problem you had up front is the fact you have drum brake wheels instead of disc brake wheels. See if you can find wheels that do not have the rivets inside. I can take a picture of mine if you don't quite understand.

Hi cruiser guy, yes I am from San Jose, and I am not sure if going to be here for Semana Santa, but if I am here I will be happy to meet you here, and about the issue with the wheels when I did the front disc convertions the wheels that i Have where the OEM wheels and the steering arms and the caliper that I use (1993 fj80) calipers there are a little bigger than the normal, and the wheels did not fit so my solution was move the center hub of the OEM wheels 20mm far inside and that really works, now i have plenty of space for the caliper and the steering arm, Will make some pictures to explain:cheers::wrench:

I Have where the OEM wheels

The OEM drum brake wheels have rivets to hold the center and the rim, OEM disc brake wheels are welded and that small difference makes all the difference. I'll take a few pics later.
