So I traded a triumph motorcycle for a busted 93 FJZ80... I am not a mechanic... I did this because my brother-in-law offered to repair the vehicle. Long story short he disappeared on me.

The official story from the seller is that he bought the vehicle from a guy who said he blew a head gasket. The guy, lets call him Mr. Break Everything, removed the head and sent the head off to be machined. The head came back machined. (confirmed) He then sold it to the guy that sold it to me. My guy, Mr. Seller, said his initial plan was to do an LS swap, but found a 100 later and decided to sell the FJ80. This is where I come in.

I received a cargo bay full of mostly trashed parts. Nothing is labeled, multiple things were broken. The FJ80 is generally all around trashed, Mr. Breaks Everything really earned his name with how he treated the vehicle.

Now, if you are familiar with the phrase "Doesn't know their a** from a hole in the ground" I know the difference between my a**, and a hole in the ground, but that's about it. Over the past several weeks (I'm an industrial engineering student so I'm broke on time) I'm been piecing this rig back together. Using some old parts, some new, new gaskets ect. I'm mostly finished by this point, with assembly of the parts I'm not missing at least. I'm not ready for a startup yet as I'm still missing some bolts and I'm going to have to extract at least one broken valve cover bolt. I cannot for the life of me figure out where the hose in this attached picture goes. I can't find it on any diagram I've been able to find on the internet and the only complete FSM I've been able to get my hands on is for the emission control system. So can someone for the love of all things holy take mercy on me and tell me where this hose goes??

And if anyone is able to point me to a detailed repair manual I would greatly appreciate it. I have access to Prodemand, but it hasn't been of particular help.

I'm not sure where that hose goes but it isn't there. You are missing a hard line that bolts on the front of the head. A hose then connects the hard line to point near the thermostat and the other end has a hose that connects to the throttle body.

If you scroll down from the main menu, there is a list of all the fsm files. Good luck!

the resources section of the forum has the FSM that you need.

There should be a tab just to the right of "calendar" that is labled resources. Are you using a phone or a computer? If phone, maybe turn your phone sideways?

I'm in Aiken, SC. There was a problem on the backend, but the admin cleared up my account and I've got access to resources now. The dealer is having trouble finding that metal pipe. Does anyone know what it is called? We looked at the throttle body, water pump and the coolant diagrams and it doesn't seem to be on any of those.

I see it on the Wits End diagram, but I'm not seeing a part number.

I don't know the part number but I do have an extra one of those hard lines (used) that I ended up not needing. Would be happy to sell it for $50 shipped...that is what I have in it.

Perfect thanks, on to the next missing part!

I'm on the heater control valve now. I've got the rubber elbow in hand and the metal pipe on order as well as the rubber connection to the block. Why this pipe is missing is beyond me. (That entire link seems overly complicated.) Anyway I cannot seem to the find the actuator for the valve. I found some pictures of what the valve end of the cable looks like. but I cant find anything like that. I did notice a small plastic nipple leading through the firewall is this where the cable comes out? Judging by the feel of the temperature slider in cabin I'm guessing this is electrically actuated?
