I'm planning on cutting out a plywood surfboard, painting SoCal 80's on it, and mounting it on poles in the sand to mark our campsite. I'll be coming up Friday so most will be able to look for it when they arrive.
I'm thinking glossy red with white lettering. Any thought/suggetions? Keep in mind, I'm a geologist, not an artist.
I'll be going up Friday also, Caravan is a possability? Orange COunty? Time depends on if the son can ditch high school that day/afternoon. Put me Down for three. I'll bring Ice Cream(ARB Freezer) or Salad. Let me know.
I plan on leaving very early Sat. morn. I have a friend driving in from AZ on Fri night and then we are heading up on Sat. morn. I think that we should have enough sat. morn. to have a pretty good caravan if we so choose ( I vote for it).
Boyd - ABSOLUTELY! I started going to SnT in 2004 and have always gone up VERY Early Saturday morning. It is worth the trip.
Smit - I'm up for a caravan - I usually leave Laguna Niguel around 5 putting me up at Oceano around 9ish. I take a look at the tide charts as well to be sure we cross the creek (if it's thru to the ocean) at as close to low tide as possible.
You really don't need to get there any earlier as nobody is awake from the Friday activities (read drinking) anyway!
Where and what time should we meet - somewhere along the 405 so we can pick up Smit in Redondo Beach? Any good exits you can suggest Smit?
