Fresh paint on the 62, need to bottle the cider and start stockpiling some cheesecake to bring :flamingo:

Be sure to drop by the bonfire and let me sample one of your Ciders please! I'm the guy with the black goggles and tattoos who brings the wood every year.

i just have to comment on how heroic Mr. Jim Brantley is for putting all of this together... the Dude really does abide!

Quick question....

Would a 2wd regular cab Tacoma aired down be able to make it to the camp area?

If not, I'll drive the beast..

headed down from the Bay Area (Cambrian area right around Camden and 85).... just telln ya in case you see a big tan and white 55 on the side of the road :D

Plan is to leave Friday in the AM. Bring'n the family... have 2 little girls that are 2 and 6... the red head bites (j/k... well kida) and the older one is pretty mellow. Im sure they will want some others to play with.

Just in from Advanced Adapters...

Jim, I got a couple gift certificates sitting here on my desk for you. I'll go ahead and pop them in the mail for you. (1-$200 & 1-$100). I have to go to SEMA that week, but I'm sure Matthew will bring down a few t-shirts for you as well.

There are going to be some happy Cruiserheads.

In case you didn't know, Advanced Adapters is just up the road from Pismo. Our friends at Advanced Adapters are specialists in engine and transmission swaps for Toyota Land Cruisers and Toyota Trucks. Check out the Orion low range transfer case and Advance Crawling Systems.

I grew up on the dunes in a 2wd Chevy. Airing down is the key, 15psi seems to do the trick on just about anything. I've seen all kinds of vehicles on the beach and in the dunes including a Porsche 911 on Sand Highway doing about 50MPH! Flotation is the key.

Yep, I saw a low 2wd Trans AM in the back dunes fully getting it. (The approaches to the uphill slip faces were a little bit ugly.)

I could tell they had some driving skills. When I saw the Saudi guys get out I said...
