The tides are on like a 13 hour cycle or something like that so they vary every day. The 6.28 high tide listed above is extreme, so be ready for it all weekend mid day. If the swell is small it won't be too big of a deal, combine it with a large swell and there could be trouble, like earlier this week.

Yea Jim,I will prob.bring the kids(the S n' T veterans).Gavin is 9 now and he has been to every event.Gabrielle is 6 and she has only missed one year.
Really missing the old 80,that was the super fun kid wagon hauler! Doing the Rubicon(Rubithon 07)was the best! With our fearless trail leader Andy on the wagon run!! Hey Andrew see ya there!
Did a little surf training today, surfed Moss Landing this morning.Good waves&and a run on the beach.hope to score some down in Pismo!

shouldn't this really be a PIE chart instead?

Nice work Jerod!

By the way I put a printable tide table on my FAQ web page. ;)

Surf N Turf Tide Table

Tuesday and Wednesday mid-morning could be interesting. I might have to re-think my 10:00 AM Wednesday morning mobilization effort.:hhmm:

The way it looks now, and of course it can change, anything over 6 ft high could mean driving through salt water at the "creek crossing" at Pole 1.5. In fact there is no "creek", in other words no fresh water flowing out. It's just that the beach is low enough that the high tide floods in "backwards" to make a nice salt water lagoon. Not that uncommon really. Again, it could and likely will change in the next couple weeks.

So I want to know if the FJC attendence thing is organized or spontaneous. That is outstanding participation by these guys/girls. Maybe everyone was enthused by that guy in the blue one jumping 20 feet in the air last year. There was shock and awe value there, only topped by BK skyyyyying the FJ55.

Anyway, can't wait to get down there, likely late Thursday afternoon. Looking forward to seeing lots of old friends, and drinking a beer with the FJC crew.

And Beno, no 60 as I have not built another cross member yet, and the front driveshaft will not fit with the stock crossmember. Maybe if the time fairy smotes me with unlimited time and money, the 60 can make the event. Not looking good though.

Strong work as always Jim.

Awesome, 10 of the best looking Cruisers will be there.

:D

I am looking for someone coming through or near Phoenix Arizona coming back from Surf n Turf. I am looking to get into the 20% discount from Metaltech but the parts are going to ship to the Surf n Turf area and I will not be attending. I was going to buy some sliders for my FZJ80 and was looking to hook up with someone that could bring them back for me. I would not ask but I heard this site has a lot of people that travel that are willing to do this for a person. Anybody?

Ham radio frequencies:

Simplex on the beach is 146.460.

HWY 101 from the North... and on the beach.
The Mt Lowe repeater operates on a frequency of 147.36 Mhz. A CTCSS (PL) tone of 127.3 Hz is required to access the repeater. The repeater does transmit PL. It is located 2624 feet above sea level at Mt Lowe near San Luis Obispo. This is the W6FM repeater system.

This repeater is linked to the Williams Hill repeater which should give solid coverage from Chular, just south of Salinas, to Paso Robles. It operates on 146.73 MHz with a CTCSS of 127.3 Hz.

That's about 125 miles of HWY 101 North of Pismo!

Haven't really found much from the South.

Eric, since you're not having any luck trolling... (two strikes)

How about giving us a frequency for Southern approaches. There should be some repeaters working on Camino Cielo ridge that reach Pismo and point south of Santa Barbara.
