That's the spirit. You can still stand up, drink and eat at the Crawl, just like the Grove. Hell I'll wear a red polo on Saturday if you come up.

Make it seersucker pants and I am in.

Seersucker pants and a red polo would be almost impossible to turn down!!! I can almost picture that now... Almost

Thanks Layton. I am doing my best to make it this year. Football season is a busy time for me. Are you planning on going?

I know you don't care much for the hoop, but the bumper was a steal and I couldn't pass it up. Is there enough clearance from the fender to the bumper? I was concerned it wasn't enough...

Yup, i am going to SCC with about 15 or so other Louisiana Land Kreweser members.

The sides are a little closer than i would probably put them, but they should be alright. I would just keep an eye on it. If you start to see any paint missing on the fenders, then just lower it a little. The 100 series frames seem to be a good bit stiffer than say the FJC/120 series frame.
Ever single bump in the road you would see the ARB bull bar vibrate a lot on the FJC. To the point where it made you think you forgot to bolt it on :hillbilly:

I am going to leave it where it is for now. Its a pain to adjust and as long as it doesn't see serious trails, hopefully it will be okay. Don't want to wait till paint comes off though to adjust it. Thanks.

I am finished with all the sound deadening. I put some on the tailgate. The reason I left spaces on the tailgate was because that's where you have access to change the taillights.

I hope to get my truck put back together very soon.

mileage update...

They aren't racking up nearly as fast since it's not my DD anymore...however, it makes me smile every time I get in it to drive around town. Such a solid well built truck!!

Over the weekend, I changed the front and rear sway bar bushings. I decided not to buy new links. I just pressed out the old bushings and pressed in the new ones. I replaced all the bolts too. It took me quite a while to do this but I cleaned up a lot of the grease left from the CV axles.

I haven't driven the truck much since changing them out. Basically just through the neighborhood and to work today. My initial impressions though, are that the truck is much quieter going over speed bumps and turning off camber. I don't hear any more creaking and the sound of metal clicking together. Also, I noticed that the steering is much more responsive now.

I added before and after pictures of the front. I didn't take and pics of the rear sway bar bushings before and after....

I will paste the part numbers in the 100 thread for anyone that wants to order the parts. I would say for anyone that has over 150K on their original bushings, it is worth the $88 to replace them.

Thanks. Yeah I would have to agree with you. It's only a matter of time. I will say though that I thought the clicking during off camber turns was the CVs...Turns out it was the sway bar bushings.

that's good news.....pull the boots and check for ware then regrease those jokers! $60 boot kits verse $500 cv axles.

I have already had someone look at them. Unfortunately, they both need to be replaced along with the flanges AND wheel bearings. Looks like my truck will have a whole new front end sooner than later....Good for another 175K

Drive them till they fail or get too loud to stand.

The thing is they don't make any noise. All the noise I thought I was hearing turned out to the the sway bar bushings. All quiet again.

What I am concerned with is the wheel bearings. Can I replace them without replacing the axles? Would the cv axles needing to be replaced cause premature wear on new wheel bearings?

glad that solved your noise problem. as little as your drive it, drive it.

Is it possible the mechanic who inspected them is......wrong?

Graves and Stoddard?

I don't think so. Integrity inspected it. They had it apart because they were replacing the bearings. They told me there was no grease in them at all....just rust shavings from metal to metal contact. They did put some grease in them though when they put it back together for me.

I trust them. They have never led me astray before...at least that I am aware of anyways.

Integrity=Integrity

We work with them quite a bit.
Good people.

I have a question regarding your tundra wheels.. I'm working on my '99 cruiser, and have some 18" wheels off of a 2007 Tundra. When I mount them up, the center caps don't fit over the hubs. Did you use the tundra center caps? or use spacers? I saw in another thread where someone used 1.5" spacers to get his to fit - I would rather just get different center caps if that is an option. I like that bumper, its the same one I have sitting in my shop waiting for its turn to be installed.. lol

Thanks.
