Wasn't the gasket around the Center High Mounted Stop Light?

I taped off the third brake light and it still leaks so I have moved on to the next possibility. Most people on the 100 forum say it is one of a few things: 3rd brake light, clogged rear sunroof drains, or the gaskets on the tail gate or the side windows.

It is leaking form the PS under the power window. You can see the rusted bracket in this picture. The water is coming from between where the window attaches and the outer sheet metal. I am at a loss. I posted some of this on the main forum. hoping for some guidance....Open to suggestions here as well.

My back carpet got wet when I was in Destin. I couldn't figure out if it was coming from the side window from the torrential down pour or from condensation from having the rear a/c on for the whole trip. I made sure the rear power vents were closed tight and haven't had a problem since.

Could you lay down some clear silicone in that spot?

Maybe. I still haven't pinpointed where it is entering the truck though. Sure hope I don't have to replace the gaskets for those side vent windows. Mr. T is very proud of all the gaskets!

Park it in the garage?

Unfortunately I don't have one of those.... Just keep a towel where it gets wet inside until I can find out how to stop the leak.

I stumbled upon this thread while coming to visit the CLC forum. I JUST bought my wife the exact truck except a 2001. It has the fender flares, running boards and ghetto gold emblems. This is pretty much what I am wanting to do to the truck and these pics will help me show her what I am thinking of doing. Thanks and nice looking 100.

have you tried spraying pressurized water to see exactly where it's dripping on inside? I wouldn't replace whole gasket I would silicone it.

unrelated, but related. I had water POURING out of my garage door opener box. opened and reclosed sunroof and it hasn't happened again. In that location I gotta go with andy....rear vent window is not tight?

Thank you. I will be happy to help out in any way you need. I have plenty more pics I can send you if you want higher resolution pics...

I haven't done that yet. I need to though. I press the close button on the side windows and watch the side mirrors to see them close.

I have some silicone spray I used to lube the window tracks when I took off the door panels to replace the speakers. May just spray some of that to see if it helps. I am going to get to the rear sunroof drains though and make sure they are not blocked or clogged.

PS Power side window leak

Finally figured out where the water was entering the truck. My next door neighbor and DNP helped me figure it out. Thanks DNP for stopping by.

Water was getting under the Quarter Belt moulding (FSM term) and making its way into the inside. I took pics of the window out. We replaced the worn out rounds gaskets with closed cell foam and pushed the clips through the foam. No leak. Very happy about it. Only upset that I tore apart my whole interior...

You can see in the second and third pic the foam we used and how it attaches to the body.

Here is a picture of the rubber gasket. You can see how they are deformed. They were not keep the water out at all.

Of course you can see that I cleaned all the area up before replacing the moulding. Sure wish I could shake that habit!

Toss all the plastic you took out in the back in the dish washer. Makes the parts look new.

Thanks for the suggestion. I actually took your suggestion way back when i saw that you did it on the LX you sold. I have run all the parts that would fit through the dishwasher and they do come out much much cleaner. Now comes the fun part of trying to remember which bolts go in which holes....

ARB Sahara install

I already posted a photo in the 100 thread, but I thought I would give a little more detail in here. First, I bought the bumper off of Ebay. I got it for basically a song and a dance. It was pick up only and was located in Nashville. It was worth it for me to make a weekend and go up and get it. When I got the bumper home, I was able to look at it more closely. It had a tiny bit of rust that I cleaned up and sprayed with Rustoleum semi gloss paint.

I probably didn't even need to touch up the rust spots, but I just couldn't leave it exposed. THe bumper was missing a few of the hardware pieces that I was able to pick up at the hardware store. Not a big deal at all.

This is an 03+ bumper designed for the newer trucks than mine (2000). It required a small bit of trimming to be able to slide the winch cradle over the frame. I cut off about a 1/8 of an inch. Again, not a big deal.
