Been doing some work on the car, before my last trip I added 80 series bump stops to the front, they are FANTASTIC! Before hand my car used to "crash" over bumps harshly, now it is much better. I have also added them to the rear, in the process of fitting a 80 series air box lid too. 80 series bump stops that I used are called "supplementary springs" so they have a high amount of deflection and squash down to about 50mm tall.

I just ordered the FZ lid last week, plan on doing the same mod too.
Are you doing a 4" inlet on your airbox? I need to find out how big the fitting of our safari snorkel is to the airbox

Nah I am just staying with what the stock safari inlet size is, not sure what it is exactly. My main motivation is for the raised section of the lid directly above the filter. The FZJ lid is just over 3.5'' outlet, the remained of my inlet piping and the turbo inlet itself is 3'' Should be picking up the remaining parts to do the change today, I have already ground the flange of the lid and painted it so its ready to use.

80 Airbox lid didnt work. Turns out the inlet pip to my turbo is 2.75'' dunno how I stuffed that up. My best option is to remake the entire duct work from turbo to airbox lid in 3'' with a adapter to the 3.5'' for the airbox lid. one day.

Also had to re-position the rear bump stops rearward 30mm to center on the axle at compression.
