Hello All,

Its been awhile since my last post. Things have been busy as usual, biz, new house etc. Since buying the bus from Christo last year Ive had tons of fun with it. The body damage was getting bad, the worst of which was from Christos rollover during the Ultimate Adventure. I finished it off with 2 side rolls into trees in Ohio. We could not get a glass windshield in it. From my last roll the pass side door was so bad I had to take my bobcat and contort roof to get it open.

This winter I decided that a glass windshield is a must and that the body needed spruced up to look like the day it was built. I purchased a 1992 with a blown motor and the chopping started. Here is the current state. I hope to be back in action in about a month.

YeeHaw!!! Subscribed, this will be fun one to watch ;)

Nice project. I'm just curious as to why a plexy-glass windscreen had to be installed on the original shortbus. Was it some sort of safety issue?

I think he meant that he could no longer fit a glass window in, because the body damage was so bad.

Subscribed! I loved the original shortbus so this should be pretty awesome.

Awesome, wish I could have grabbed that one too!

Kirk, will you be adding a front exo? With (apparently) the kind of wheeling you do it might make things last longer....

Looking good. I'm thinking of doing a similar project to a 91 I just picked up that was rolled. The A pillars were tweaked a little to the driver's side and the roof slightly dented between windshield and sunroof.

I guess I'll be the first to ask... who's in the reflections of pic #3?:censor:

Um, a dude wearing a white T shirt and khaki shorts standing on a tire to take the picture? What did I win??

If that's a dude, he appears to have some well manicured/shaven legs.

Just sayin'

I'd imagine the plexyglass scratches pretty easily. However, that's a good idea for an emergent solution.

And some pretty short shorts at that.
If that's a dude, he deserves some $h!t3 for wearing that.

Dave
