i took the formula for Shell Ivory off here to my paint guy. Got some mixed up and sprayed the bezel. It is a creamy color, is this correct? Don’t want to shoot the hardtop to match if the cream isn’t correct. It’s on a 65.

TIA

I stripped later paint off my bezel, found the original underneath. Yes, it is a bit creamy-looking, especially in certain light. Mine is an early '64.

Thanks. Mine is closer to your body color than the bezel. I’ll try to get a pic tomorrow on my white tailgate. Thanks again.

If you want the definitive answer..... ;) Straight from Toyota! (1974) but.....

Here is where it gets confusing.... (1965-1968) Lilly White is a roof color as well. Keep in mind there are TWO Lilly Whites! Lilly White #1 and Lilly White #2... 1966 was Lilly White #1 and 67-68 was Lilly White #2.

Anything for '63 colors? (cheezy bump...)

I (and others) haven’t been able to find any formulas that cross to the MS or factory Toyota codes for shell ivory. They all seem to be dead codes. As far as lily white goes, I’m still not convinced it was the Landcruiser color used on 1963 and earlier cruisers. I’ve owned three 1962 and earlier white cruisers and none of them matched any of the lily white formulas, but they all matched each other.

A lot like "bandaid". Plenty of early 40s and 45s in that color, yet I've never found any info on it. No color name, codes, paint chips, nothing. I know it was a real color, but that's all.

Which formula and paint system did you use?
I’m going to try and get by the paint shop tomorrow so i can tell you for sure. It was a formula that I found on Mud, so aim sure you have seen it. I’ll also take a pic of the bezel on my tailgate.

This is a screenshot of the formula I found on mud.

Here is the bezel painted with the code above. My tailgate is a little rough, but it’s a 2016 f150 for reference. Seems very “creamy” but I’m. It sure what correct is.

Thanks

So, Redleg, you're comfortable that the original formulation gave you an original-looking shade?

Curious what paint "line"
