I had them do that once to me, a few weeks later I got an email with tracking to an additional package due to it being backordered. I wish they would’ve just told me when they shipped everything else.
 
I expect that is what I will find out in the future. No packing list in the box so I have no idea of the true status. It's been over a month now.
 
Bummer, I ordered from Serra during one of the older 25% off sales and it just too long for them to get the parts to me. In the most recent sale, I ordered from one of the Fred Anderson stores and it was about 3 weeks from order to delivery.

Hope they get you sorted out.
 
I bought stuff for my 40 from them about a month ago. First time, and all went off without a hitch. That being said, I'll be cautious about ordering from them in the future - thanks for the heads up.
 
I always plan at least a 3 week wait when ordering from them. Lately I’ve been ordering smaller stuff from Gresham Toyota and it seems to ship a lot faster than Serra Toyota. The prices are a bit higher but if it’s within $10 I don’t mind paying more for faster shipping on certain things. My local Toyota is MSRP plus 20%.
 
I have always had great service buying parts from Ourisman Toyota of Richmond’s online parts site. Never been a hang up.
 
My experience with Serra… if you buy for more than one Toyota, iE Highlander and FJ40, at same time, orders take longer. If you put in vin for new car and yet order pcv valve for the 40, you get valve for highlander not the part number you entered.

When they missed shipping parts, I have received all but sometimes 3 weeks later. I am missing 1 item. Cost $2. The said they will add to existing

My current order is 1 month and growing more.

I do wish they would say when shipping and have a packing slip.

With the ghosting… if they don’t respond right away, they won’t respond. I only reach out via e-mail at 2 pm so that it is business time. And that has been reliable. Email at 10 pm expecting reply next day is 70% chance of success. So only during business for me.

I go back because they do the 25% off more often than other places.

I have ordered over 10k in parts from serra, they are slow and the communication can suck, but you will always get your parts and the prices are excellent. Calling them works better than email. I waited over a year for one order (1fz short block) and finally cancelled rather than wait, but I do believe it would have eventually showed up. The above post is 100% correct, if you order parts for multiple vehicles, their system flags the order as needing review by a human, and that can take a month. Bottom line, I order from them frequently, but never when I need a part whithin 2 months. When the 25% off sale is going on, generally therre are 5 or so other dealers with an online parts department having the same sale - all in the south.

That’s pretty ridiculous.

My latest order from Ourisman (about $800) arrived this morning after being ordered 6 days ago. Two days were a weekend and one was Christmas holiday. I also selected the cheapest shipping option.
 
Just to reinforce this, Serra Toyota is legitimately awful. Poor packaging, poor customer service, insanely bad return process. Order from Valdosta Toyota instead and avoid these clowns that claim your order took a month to ship because they are too swamped.

I’ve always had solid service from Ourisman. When I compare their pricing to other dealers using cruisin4parts.com, they are consistently the best price from a dealership for the parts I’m looking for.
 
Just to add to this. I order often from the Decatur location which is only about 40 minutes from my house. I choose local pickup and I have made some really big orders with them recently and they have always had them ready for me to pick up in less than a week. When I go get them I see boxes being shipped all over the country and they only seem to have a few people working in the parts department so I am sure that's why things get delayed. But if anyone is in North Alabama, they are a good source since they offer 25% off quite a bit and add it to their everyday discount. They currently are doing it til the end of February.
 
I placed a substantial order with Serra/Decatur during the last 25% sale and everything was shipped promptly and packaged well. One item was a radiator for my 40 and it was pristine.

As of now, I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase from them again.
 
It’s funny to me how people have different outcomes with them. I’m sitting waiting for an order from them places on 1/31/26 for exhaust studs, nuts, gas cap and exhaust manifold gasket and it hasn’t shipped yet. I rarely order from them anymore due to this.

I definitely appreciate the intel, I have another cart going right now and I am more hesitant after reading this thread.
