I am going to SEMA this year, can't wait! Can anyone give me some advice on what to see, what I shouldn't miss? I am there on Thursday and Friday, not much time to cover a lot of ground. I promise, I'll post lots of pics!

Not much time is an understatement :)

Considering what's displayed at the show changes every year, I'm unsure what you need for advice...I'd start with Offroad stuff in the S hall and work from there...N hall is mostly interior stuff, central halls are manufacturers and where most of the interesting projects end up, and S is offroad and tire/wheel.

Wear GOOD walking shoes, and carry as little as you can with you.

Post some pics !

We went last year and will go again this year. Walk around and look at everything.

Thanks Woody! Is there stuff to see outside too? I remember seeing pics of vehicles outside. I hope I can manage to get to everything I want to see in two days.

There are quite a few cars outside, plus there are generally two or so "pro driver" ridealong options...last year they had some Mustang drivers from Miller Motorsports and some Raptors as well. Entertaining stuff :)

'MUD has generally done a Thursday night gathering at The Draft House on Rancho...suspect we'll do the same again this year. http://www.bigdogsbrews.com/pubs/draft-house/ is the website, http://www.facebook.com/pages/Big-Dogs-Draft-House/111753348860201 on Facebook. It's a bit of a drive from SEMA tho...16 miles/20-30 minutes depending on traffic. Good beer, good food and deep fried cheese curds...one of a few Wisconsin bar's :) Guessing 6p or so, and we usually end up in the area between the bar and the dining area :)

Man that would be awesome to go to! I'll be in Honduras at that time though...I'll just have to look forward to the pics!

I am flying in on Oct 29 and flying out nov 2, staying at MGM. Will try to make it out on Thursday.

Gonna be a good one this year!

I'll be towing our 2011 trail edition 4Runner on the 27/28th in preparation to get it on display for Monday. I'll be there all week and Mark will be flying in on the 1st and driving back with me after SEMA closes. Look for a big orange 4Runner somewhere outside the main entrance.

Where have you been hiding. We need more of your awesome pics! :D

Aw, thanks retro. Well, between the stalkers, sewing - see chickworx.com (https://forum.ih8mud.com/merchandise-storefront/611200-tool-wraps.html - shameless plug, I know but what the hell), photography courses, work, cruiser projects and the new cruiserhead in my life who enjoys monopolizing my time :bounce::bounce::bounce:, I've been offline a lot more this past year than I have been since I joined.

I updated the POTD thread a few weeks back and will finish it off before the end of the year.
