Hello all,
My dad is selling off 50 years of OEM, NOS and a few aftermarket parts he has acquired.
I have started listing parts on EBAY so here is a small sample of things. It will probably take me over a year to go through everything but if there is something you are needing feel free to PM

You need a reality check on your prices. They are stratospheric.
 
Looked through the parts. My favorite would have to be the power steering pump listed for $1,299.... which you can get brand new for $266 shipped to your door.

2F pump has been NLA from Toyota for a few years now and don’t do well being rebuilt. I would actually say that is a pretty fair price for that, especially including pulley.

Where are you finding new OE 2F Ps pumps for $250?

I meant that the $1300 in the OP’s listing is not far off what I would consider fair price for a NLA component if one wants to stay original. It’s what I would want for one if I had one to sell :meh:
And it looks like another major retailer that everyone here loves was getting even more for their last remaining stock of them.
 
The pump listed on ebay is clearly a USED takeoff that was put back in the OE box. No way in Hell that's NOS.

I think the above poster is referring to aftermarket PS pumps available now that are made in TW. Sold by Lares, and under other brands. City Racer sells one, too.

Regardless of the pricing....I suspect we appreciate you pointing us to the ebay listing. I don't necessarily watch ebay and don't need anything you have currently...but if you've got a lot to sell then potentially some of us will need something in a price that could work. We'll see...best of luck.
 
You all are tough customers.

It looks like he is just matching prices with similar items on eBay. There are a few overpriced items but likely there are no comparisons on eBay for things like a late model NOS seatbelt for a forty (I have certainly never seen one for sale) so maybe he is just guessing high on those.

Wanting more for a part than the market will pay is not an uncommon situation I don't think. I have a whole rack of clusters I think are worth a lot of money but they don't sell. I still list them for what I want for them.

I am going to make some offers on a few things I need. The worst he can say is no.

Today is honestly the first day I have been on here since my original post.
The NOS power steering pump (never was on a car before-to those of you living in mom's basement:)) sold earlier in the week.
I am glad this part peaked interest and discussion.
There is another that we will be selling after the holidays.
I am slowly going through everything he has accumulated over 40 years of FJ40 life. It will probably take me a few years to go through things.
