I'm selling my 1991 FJ80 Land Cruiser on eBay. I'm not a dealer, but I have 2 Land cruisers and I have to sell one. The truck has a new radiator, shocks, brakes, oil change and a multi-point inspection. I'm the 3rd owner and the truck has only been owned in warm weather states.

Check out the Classifieds Guidelines. "This is not EBay."

I just read the guidelines and they say: "PRICES are strongly recommended...if you are selling it here, POST A PRICE...if you want people to bid on it, post it on EBay and link it here"

Also, it says: 8> Feel free to post a link to relevant Craigs List, Ebay or other classified ads. Please state if it's your ad or not.

So, I'm not sure what you are talking about? I see Craigslist and Ebay links all over this site. If I'm wrong send me the link, and I will have this post removed.

CLASSIFIEDS RULES and GUIDELINES

Truck did not sell on eBay. So, I have decided to do more work on it. I found the rear diff was leaking, so that will be addressed this week. Also, I filled the scratches in the wheels and sanded them out and then painted the wheels graphite gray.

Yes,
So are you going to tell us the price now?
I've decided not to sell it for now. However, I will give you the reserve that I had set. My reserve was $15,500. Which may seem high. However, I purchased it at $5,800 and I put $8,000 in it getting everything working correctly. I was hoping to make a small profit on it. However, it looks like I would take a big loss. So, I'm just going to enjoy it for now. Also, I'm taking off the bull bar and the tow hitch.

Ha good luck with that, Im nearby and was considering looking at it, but not at a 100% markup

$5,800
+8,000 in receipts for work and parts.
=$13,800 as my cost to get the truck to this point.
So, how do you figure a %100 markup? If I sold it for $15,500 that would be a 14.81% Markup? Oh I guess you can find one with 200,000 plus miles for around $5,000 that has been used offroad. Then put $5k to 8k in that and you have a truck that is not marketable because it has over 200k. find me another FJ80 with less than 100k on the clock that has $8,000 into it. Or just find me another with under 100k on it period.

An FJ80 with under 100K and 8 grand in recent maintenance is a unicorn at this point. It's out of my price range and the color is not my choice, but based on scouring the net for months for a decent 80 I don't think the price is crazy. GLWS
