I was putting on the EGR blocking kit and the EGR hole was filled with schmootz. Now I need to take off the intake and exhaust and clean everything up. Hopefully it's just going to take some gaskets to get everything back together and I do not find any surprises.

Nice work, Jeff! Did you notice how much engine movement those mounts allow?
What you can't see is that I used washers to put the pressure exactly like the stock aluminum motor mounts into center.

Well done looking good

I always find it interesting as the assembly process is going on when doing a conversion. There's always something that will not go back together like it came apart. Usually it is many things. As I was cleaning up and painting stuff then getting it back into the engine compartment, I found out that the battery box will not fit because it hits the turbocharger. Needless to say I'm going to have to build a battery box mount.

Just order this http://www.atpturbo.com/mm5/merchan...tp&Product_Code=ATP-MDP-010&Category_Code=MDP

Also added a plug for the O2 bung. Since my T3 has a v-band flange bolted to it, I did not have to by the adapter.

Jeff, that flange on the turbo is thicker than the flange on the downpipe. I didn't think the v-band clamps would work correctly, so I ended up buying an exhaust flange with the thinner flange to bolt to.

Hey Dave, I called apt turbo and talked to them about it. The flange on the down pipe is three and a quarter and shipped out today so we'll see what happens when it gets here. If nothing else I'll just get the adaptor too. But the flange on my turbo is a little bit larger than three and a quarter. Yeah also I got the engine mounts EGR block off and IP cutoff switch from Mercedes 4x4. Also been reading on what crap I have to pull off that engine and what has to stay I still have some questions about some things on my IP. There's a plastic housing right next to the ALDA that I'm not sure what it does. Do you still have those AN fittings for the oil lines?

The stock flange looked to be non-standard which was another reason I used that adapter to get it to a standard 3" flange. The OD of the 3" flange is greater than 3"...probably more like 3.25".
