Yes, looking forward to another Tahuya trip. Last one I neglected to plan for airing down, but @tbisaacs saved the day. I’ve since invested in a portable air compressor since I’ll be alternating my off-roading between two rigs. Don’t mind to return the favor next time if we’ve got new folks joining us.

Here's some pics from a trip to Tahuya we did years ago, easy trails and a fun day! I'm sure we will get another trip out there soon, grab some good A/T's or mudders in a 33 and you'll be fine, welcome to the gang!
that looks like wicked fun, hope I can join in next time

No need to wait for stampede pass!

Most of the corridor along 97 is snow free. My buddies and I only hit one pocket of snow last weekend in Liberty:

Most areas east of Ellensburg are also clear (coluckum, quilomene, whisky Dick)

oh DAMN I'm doing stampede this week then!! thanks for the tip my brother.

I was planning to go down to greenwater then go via nf 7030, as described by this website. Does this sound like the right way for a boob going solo with the family on a stock LC200?

I like going from 90 -> Greenwater just because you get to come up on rainier instead of having it behind you. Stampede pass is 90% valley but there is a climb at the beginning and end both ways, that's likely where you'll hit some late season snow drifts. If you are solo and hit snow, don't attempt it unless you have recovery gear (trax, shovel etc) and a way to call for help. The late season snow is a huge pain because it's frozen on top and soft in the middle its easy to sink right down to your frame rails.

I got air compressor, Trax, shovel. Never really used, but researched them well for emergencies. Where do you start stampede from 90? Google maps Crystal Springs Sno Park and keep going ?

Will a single tank of gas do the trick?

There is a stampede pass exit just past Keechelus Lake on 90 eastbound, you can't miss it. One tank is plenty!

Any of you guys done WABDR? Good experience? Is there a section you recommend to a beginner for day trip/ overnight glamping with the kids? We haven't been in the area that long and a big portion of my buying the 200 was to get them outdoors, in remote locations, so really looking for some great views and relative solitude.

Section 2 is a great place to start

Hey friends, I ordered the last Slee accessory tray for a project that I changed my mind about:

I paid $164 with tax and shipping. Anyone interested in local pickup?

Damn it man, had this week off and was hoping to do stampede pass or wabdr section 2, but snow levels still look too low on GAIA maps. I ordered AT tires but not getting in until tomorrow, so especially hesitant to try to go on stock tires. Maybe I give it a shot Thursday, I heard WABDR is snow free past Nile at least. Any other ideas for really scenic places that might not have snow? Down to drive a few hours, going solo with wife and kids. If nothing else pops up, I got a Campbell global motorized pass this year, might go drive around there and explore

Take the Liberty exit off 97 just past Cle Elum. Lots of snow-free areas to explore.

Most of east side of colockum area is snow free: https://wdfw.wa.gov/sites/default/files/2019-05/38x26_Greendot_NANEUM _ COLOCKUM (1).pdf

I like driving to Kittitas and driving straight up colockum road

Made it out to Campbell global territory yesterday, near north bend. it's essentially just a forest service road jungle to explore, I first heard about it through gravel cycling community. we found a lake to hang out near and kids had fun at least! I think with the heat spell, I'm going to try a run at stampede pass tomorrow, and if too snowy, try to make it to nile/Naches and spend the night, then try the rest of WABDR 2 after 410

Does anyone in the Seattle/WA area have a set of factory roof rails available for sale?
I assume you’re after tlc rails? I have a pair of two pad Lx rails you can have (free).
