Seat Foam for Bucket Seats

Have you made/cut your own seat foam for reupholstering a 40 bucket seat. Mine is a 77. Found threads on bench seats but nothing on buckets. Any tips on thickness, shaping and source for foam used. I will likely buy Cruiser Corp upholstery but they dont list foam. I know SOR does but it is pricey/ Pics would be great/

Seems to me someone did the driver's seat rebuild with like automobile seat foam from Amoron.
I would do a thick layer over several thin ones to avoid it shifting.

Sor seat foam is retarded expensive when you factor in their shipping.
I did get one of their seat cushions when I redid my seats 10 years ago..and it is still great...but couldn't stomach the second foam....I keep wanting to refoam the ps seat...but cant...last I had looked they wanted almost 100 bucks just to in shipping.

I redid our boat interior and had to cut foam for cushions and repair some of the old cushions with some new foam in spots. I used 3M super 77 contact adhesive to glue new foam to old foam. I used a cheap electric carving knife to cut the foam. Locally I found a foam and upholstery warehouse that sells a variety of foam in different thickness, sizes and density. You might see if sailrite offers foam too. For cheap foam look in the free section on Craigslist for couches, chairs and such, or someone throwing them away on garbage night and grab the cushions. You just need to find the right density. I think you can use a 1/4" die grinder for some shaping. At some point I need to redo my stk bucket seats. I plan on adding more side bolsters, then stitch up new covers.
