DieHard Platinum Marine Battery Group Size 31M (Price with Exchange)

I have been watching for a group 31M for my 100.

Normally $279.99 on sale today for $251.99

I should be able to get around $60 off if I wait....right? :)

I did a lot better than 251. Check my post a few pages back. I'd wait and watch

Bookmark the page at Sears and check it everyday twice. Sometimes the deals come up and only last a few hours.

I got a great deal last month on two P2 batteries from Sears online during their last "Midnight Madness" sale. They were selling for $158 and had a "AUTO40" promo code for $40 off orders over $350 making it even cheaper if you meet that requirement. I just received an email today stating they are having another today from 5pm CT till Monday at 7am CT, so perhaps the same price will be offered.

One went in my '93 FJ80 with a slight adjustment to the hold down, and the other in my '91 Q45. I'll post a few pictures of the Artec Industries Battery Mount in the FJ80 once I get them off the camera.

I purchased the Artec Odyssey PC 1750 mount in black powdercoat with a 6 bolt mounting kit and drilled and mounted it to my battery box. It is a heavy duty mount and holds the battery well in place. There was just enough room to access and tighten the two lower battery box bolts through the two cut outs at the bottom of the mount. I used a thin racket style wrench for that.

The back of the battery box was already partial cut out, so I cut a bit more so the flare with the 3 back bolts extended through.

With wires connected. On the positive side a Napa military terminal and on the negative side a knob style disconnect (under the boot). I found the boots on eBay.

Anybody know when the next sale will be?

FWIW, I went on Sear's site and subscribed to their daily sales e-mail as I read on here that some sales are only for one day.

Looks like the group 34 is also down to $175, but the 34M is not on sale (still $219). My 34M seems to be unable to hold a full charge any more and seems to stablize at 11.8-12V rather than 12.6 (it.s 4.5 years old). And the damn marine batteries only have a 3 year warranty versus a 4 year warranty plus 100 month prorated on the non-marine type. I wonder if there is really a difference on the inside...

Just checked the site this morning. I see 10% off car batteries all the time, but today I saw the one I was looking for, on sale for 20% off.

For that price I pulled the trigger and picked up a Group 65 battery for my winch/power upgrade project.

thanks for the heads up! I just bought a Group 65 also. FWIW this price is only for online purchases. I went to my local store and they would not budge from the $219. So I came home, got on line and ordered it and tomorrow will go back to the same store and pick it up:confused:
