I second the Interstate batteries..... After having Optimas and Die hards, I have to say the Interstates have been not only as good, but better! Very good cold weather batteries. Regards, Steve
Just pulled the trigger and got 2 DieHard Platinum batteries for $163.46 each after discounts. Had to buy two rolls of microfiber towels ($2.69 per roll) in order to use the Use promo code 70AUTO.
25% off the Die Hard Platinum Batteries all week. Online orders only, but you can order and then pickup in the store. I added a promo code "SEARS5OFF50" at checkout get an additional $5 off purchases over $50. I got the gigantor Platinum 31M for $212.49 before tax. $225.24 out the door in my part of the world. I have an 87 Toyota 1 ton and I left the dome light on for 24 hours at least and it still started. I has a P1 or P2 Diehard Platinum. I've since got another one for my Tundra. You will notice an immediate increase in cranking engine speed over stock (at least I did) The last one is rated for 900 something CCA and when I tested it with a midtronics tester before installing it the tester tested it out way higher in the 1100CCA range. I'm never buying another brand again. Bonus too that the terminals never corrode because they are brass

Just need to get my battery load tested first, but with the current 10% off sale (ends 09/04/13), it's a pretty good deal right now.
In store price in NorCal was not the same as online, ordered the group 65 platinum online and it showed up on the cash register screen in 2 minutes, was out the door in 10 minutes for $189 after tax.
