I just want to report that if anyone does have to evacuate and has no place to go that Qualcomm is really much better than you would think. I spent the day there unloading trucks from Sam's Wallmart and it is AMAZING the generosity of that company as well as the people of this incredible city. We honestly didn't need FIMA here to screw things up!!!

I just got activated as a "Disaster Service Worker" to survey the fire damage.

I work for the County of San Diego, so we are all subject to activation at any time.

I will be on a team working 12 hour days, 7 days a week (until its done) working with our GIS Dept giving them GPS coords and such for the public records database!

As if i dont already have enough on my plate right now! :D

Probably wont see me online much, so have a great next few weeks guys!

Stay safe Kevin! I think you need a bigger plate. Can't wait to hear about the 1000 in a few weeks (or whenever it is). Let me know if you need a 401k for your new business. Even though you are small, you can still take advantage of uncle sam;)

Understatement of the year!

I guess i can sleep when i die huh?

Havent had a good nights sleep in MONTHS!

How many folks can say that racing/chasing in the Baja1000 will be "Relaxing". I am looking forward to the race as my first time to relax in months, how weird is that! :D

Be safe Kevin! You're in my thoughts as you tackle this new assignment my friend.

Thanks Brent

Its going to be a tough one, but luckily i have an extremely supportive girlfriend as well as great friends on the race team getting ready for the race that understand and are willing to do a little extra on the truck in my absence!

Its a tough time for everyone and its great to see everyone (not just in my case) stepping up and helping out any way they can!

I work for the County of San Diego and seeing how my fellow co-workers are all stepping up to help out the public and each other is soooooo impressive words cant describe it!

Huge kudos to them and i am Honored to be employed here!

OH and I forgot to mention that there might be a MUD member affected by the fire. At Qualcomm, I saw a nicely built 60 series with ARB front bumper and snorkle parked in the lot and a clean 40 series driving through the outer ring.

I hope all those in harms way , have no castastroph's. Praying for you all. I have been out of town for two weeks and came home to this Monday. Took a two hour detour to get home from Nevada. So no worries for me....
