That sucks! I’ll buy the beer tonight!Ok. This thing won today. I took a few hours off. Dropped Red at the airport. At a burrito. Rested my shoulder from beating the F out of the drums this morning.
Decided I would do some easy stuff to finish the day.
Drained the oil. No problem.
Went to unscrew the filter. Problem.
Seized.
Wrench. Fail
Screwdriver through it. Fail.
I’m going to have to get one of those chain/vice grip thingies tomorrow.
Over and out. Going to start drinking.
Already have a feeling I'm gonna need one of these chain wrenches for the filter that's on my troopy from Oman.Take that you SOB

This happened on my Prado, the handle felt like it wouldn't engage until it was almost all the way up. There is a little metal bracket attached to the inside of the handle with a screw that engages with the latch mechanism. In my case it had rotated slightly and no longer struck the latch in the right place. I loosened the screw, adjusted the bracket and tightened it back up again. I added a little grease to the contact spot and some WD40 to the latch and handle mechanism to make everything buttery smooth again.I’ll take some tech advice here ….
Drivers side door.
Inside latch it opens so smooth. Perfect pop.
Outside handle I have to really pull up hard.
Anyone have a tip to making the outside handle tighter?
Gotta love OEM fluids and lubricants!I think this one had a bit of green coolant in it. Not much. Of course it does not really freeze there so most just use water. Made a trip to Toyota for a few gallons of pink to replace it.

Boy that looks sharp! Another fantastic Tilda Bogue transformation!
The 79's still use the same setup. The rod that connects the latch to the outer handle is threaded and has a ball at the end with a pin that clips into the handle. See the picture for context-I’ll take some tech advice here ….

Are these extra lights for driving or off-road? I upgraded my headlights to LED and am trying to see what I would gain by adding additional lights on the bumper.
