Well when I pulled the tach to hook it directly to the battery for a test, I noticed my gauges did not read - no oil pressure, not fuel level reading - fantastic!!!

I thought perhaps I jarred the plug on the back loose, so I thought I would pull the cluster and check. I also wanted to prep myself for installing some LED lights in the cluster.

Note: it is super easy to disconnect the speedometer cable, and much harder to re-connect!

After assessing the cluster and re-installing - still no gauges! Awesome...

So I went hunting for a blown fuse. Which fuse is for the cluster? IDK, and they are not labeled to that level of detail!

It is the Heater fuse - 15A

I checked them all for continuity, and they were all good! Well shoot...

So I pulled the one for Heater (close to the cluster) and put it back in, and I got my gauges back! Nice...

A few weeks ago I was out for a drive and I thought I would swing by to see @FJBen .
He wasn't home, but I thought he had done this pic w/ his 70:
