Trying to get out town on a wheeling trip and having problems locking the center diff. Dash light blinks on and off and not holding steady lit to show center diff locked, preventing locking front/rear.

So, I removed the CDL indicator switch from the Trans Case. Not depressed it is an open circuit. Pressed in it high resistance, like 10M ohm. I assume this bad and should be closed switch when depressed? Can anyone confirm.

Also, the TC has other switches that look similar. Can I use the neutral or low indicator switches for the CDL switch to get me on the road?

Thanks

Mine did the same thing (high resistance) and I cycled it about 500 times with my thumb and hosed it down with PBlaster and it works fine now. They are definitely known to foul.

Change it simlpy, that you need.
They all the same for front rear and center actuators.
Or you may repair it if you dont want to spend money.
Just saw it up with some small clean all contacts and then assamble it back with sealant.
To disassamble I use Dremel
