I have not, but wow $50k
For sure, seems crazy but I betcha someone will go for it..a bit too rich for my piggy bank.

Im on a search for an older lexus as a daily driver but couldn't resist checking that 100 series out

I thought this was worth a share.... Maybe folks already know about this but its just a cool tool that you can use to search every Toyota vehicle along with specs and other cool stuff. The original Japanese catalogs are particularly entertaining as you go back in time.

Which of you lucky bastards out there was involved with the convoy I witnessed earlier today south of Dillon on the interstate

>> Saw 6 old Toyota pickups , each flat towing their own little Toyota pickup trucks all loaded up with parts and stuff...( some may have been old Nissan pickups? )

Was quite the scene to see and I cant really make sense of how and why such a convoy was created

Ah yes, the Mexican road train! I saw them on I90 a little west of Butte, was figuring they’d head south on I15. Mexicans will come to the US, buy up old Japanese pickups, load them to the brim with spare parts and used appliances, hitch them together and take off back to Mexico.

haha no way, that's wild! I cant help but say I'm a bit jealous of the convoy... I was in the process of a much less impressive road trip, flew down to Vegas and drive back and old Lexus lol
>> The old Camry Diesel has been sold =[

Bravo mini mini van listing on mud

I've got a dual sport 250 bike that I don't ride as much as I'd like to anymore so its going up for sale or trade.....I happened to notice this old 2wd Tacoma for sale and willing to trade...

Would be a good dump run vehicle for me or just something to beat up and drive the dog around locally....

Whats the deal with these rigs, what motor do they have , 22RE? Make for a good beater / dump run truck ?

22RE was phased out with the 2nd gen 4Runner and Pickup, the first gen Tacoma got the 5VZ-FE, 2RZ-FE and 3RZ-FE.

Roger that.....truck looks like a total rust bucket probably a terrible idea on my part but who knows, might be fun just to rip around with it... ( I miss the old Camry diesel )

Claims 940,000 miles 2UZ on original motor and transmission. No dash photos to prove. Taking cash offers..

What's this rig worth? Id pay just to see it hit a million, what happens , does the dash light up and shoot little party streamers

That's crazy, and what's even crazier is the amount of fuel it has gone through to achieve that, around 57000-62000 gallons. Would be even better if there's actually a paper trail to prove the mileage. I can't imagine putting that many miles on a single vehicle, I tend to change mine out too often for that to happen.

Yeah its wild, I was thinking about how much fuel it would take to get it to 1 mil lol...

What's crazy too is they just did a frame swap and timing belt not too long ago..So far she only has an offer for $2k

Back in the day if you had a Toyota hit 1,000,000 miles often Toyota was pretty interested in taking it from you and doing some reverse engineering. I know early on maybe 80s or 90s a few of their cars hit 1,000,000 miles and they gave them brand new cars off the lot in exchange for their old 1,000,000 mile car. I think it was a Camry?

In 1998 they said the 100 series was gonna be their first million mile chassis so I don’t know if they’re thinking they would all run that long or not. Everyone scarfed at the idea of 1,000,000 mile car, but there’s quite a few out there getting close to that number. I’m sure! Heck my daily driver has 400,000 miles on it and still going strong.

Owner said they contacted Toyota but since they are not original owner , Toyota did not care....

Vehicle is still up for sale. New frame, flatbed , no leaks, tires look good..... Pretty cool

Thought of @AirheadNut Claims ready to drive as-is but what's the deal, this has a gas motor? I thought they were all diesels but apparently not?

After the first couple of years of W123 production they dropped all the gas engines due to emissions and fuel mileage challenges, but when the W124 was introduced in 1985 it came with several I6 gas engines. That one is the M103, SOHC 2.6L producing ~160hp. They're fairly highly regarded as being reliable and stout engines, popular for turbo builds in Europe. Overall I've heard that the W124 is an extremely well built, reliable platform, though I haven't owned one myself yet. I'd love to find a clean 400E with the 4.2L, 275hp V8.

Diesels in the W124 were the OM602, 2.5L 5-cylinder and the OM603, 3.0L 6-cylinder, both in NA and turbo form. The OM603 turbo was only available in 1987.
