I don't think it was done then...I finished it just before CM06. By the way I will get those bolts for you anytime.

I appreciate it - I'll be sure and keep them with the snorkel from now on;)

Very sweet rig!!! The virtual antithesis of my 80 and quite enviable!

Can you and desertgirl come and watch fourmountainkids so mountainmama and I can take an extended trek? :D

Your truck is the best looking expedition rig I have seen and is very well setup for two people. We need some of those mods in our rig and superb write-up and pics.

Thanks for checking in Sam & Tree

How much do you charge for rig consulting?

usually a place to camp out for the night ;)

And are those new shocks just bolt in or are you doing a mount mod of some kind?

gonna have to make some mounts - I have some from JKS manufacturing But the bolt seems to be too hugh IMO ( 7/8" ) - I think Christo is working on something for this issue right now

Thanks Nay - many of your posts have really helped me out

If we start watching your kids it could turn into a John Candy movie :D

sorry to have missed you on the trek - I ran the same BFG MTR KM's totally worthless in the mud - if I could have I would have run TSL's swampers - but I did learn how to hit the gas and power my way through the mud - reving the tires to spin them clean on occasion-

Wheeling is all driver - we got stuck in the first mud hole because I was not fully in 4X4 mode in my mind - once I got a few tips from Mark I only got stuck once more due to the mud being deep - I felt like we were a bit heavy, but so were many of the other rigs ( Gregs BJ74 ) and he did real well- all and all I felt we kept up - and some of use 80's were really rallying through it.
Thank You.
Steven

wow, based on your rig I'm thinking of selling my 40 and getting an 80. If I send it to you will you build just like that. That's a sweet rig.

DD,

Your truck is THE standard. hehehe Super nice truck that belongs to two of the nicest people I have ever met!!!!! See you guys soon.

Amando

Pascuale's rig like Amando says is The Standard. It has all the things one could wish for. But more importantly, everything on it it's done just right. With a lot of thought behind it. Congratulations.

Alvaro

From one dude to another, PERFECT
Thanks for all the great pix of the mods.

DD and DG- super nice job. Driving it to S&T this year? Would love to show Mrs. Cube the rig.

Thanks Tony! yes we will be there with the 80 - and a few surprises

see you there

Hi DD
I really like your set up. How much watewr does the water heater store? Does it heat the water and send it to the poly tank? Do you have one 12v pump to send to the shower and one to suck water from the river?

Thanks for all the pictures very nice work.

Amando and Alvaro - thank you for the fine comments - without you two I would have never crossed the line in 80 series land and would have a phatter bank account :crybaby: But... I would not trade in this 80 and all the great places we have been for all the gold under Death Valley, CA :D

Thanks for all your continued info and awesome adventures ;)

Thanks for all the pictures very nice work.

it is basically a closed system - the poly tank holds 15 gallons - the marine water heater holds 4.5 gallons - the pump is set up just like a house it pumps cold water to the rear cold water dispenser as well as the cold water for the shower - I have a one way valve at the cold water tee near the pump which sends cold water to the water heater then out the water heater to the rear shower hot water

- I am thinking of using the 80 heater under the seat to send engine hot water to the marine heater ( the isotemp can use engine water as well as 110 to heat water) the hook in a seperate pump to draw water from any outside source making the hot water almost endless - this way I can have it both ways.

We always pump filtered water into the system keeping the tank and system clean. We have also learned how to shower with less than 1/2 gal of water :)

What an amazing rig... I don't know what to say !!!

When I win the lottery, I hope you can build one for me.

Awesome job.

Dude

Nice truck! If you are in CA, let's meet for Mexican food, I want to see her in person.

PS: Love the photos with the tent.

Man.... talk about humbling.

Great design, great implementation, great workmanship....

What does she weigh?

Awesome rig! I really like your CB set up; could you post some more details on that, specifically the antenna you used?

Thanks,
Travis
