I could swear I've seen you around... You drive around in PG often?

Coolness. I've got some friends up in Alpine.

Very nice looking rig. I must admit I am jealous that your wife loves driving a well set up 80 on 35s. Mine could care less. Great write up, enjoyed reading it.

have you set those sliders up on a rock yet, how did they do? I need some sliders bad and am on a budget so i'm thinking of doing the same thing

Nice write up.:D

THanks for all the comments so far. The sliders got a couple good knocks on Behind the Rocks in Moab a few weeks ago and they held up fine. So.....so far so good.

She's a rare one. Remember she was the one that suggested selling her Subaru and driving a built minitruck too. She also loved driving/wheeling the 40. I'm a lucky man.

Here's the minitruck she drove for a bit along with her at the wheel of the 40 on the Rubicon

Nice rig - set-up very well. Awsome pictures too, makes me jealous of your location.

Gotta say though this is my favorite part:

My wife, Michelle, and I have two boys and we all go wheeling together.

That's one of my favorite things about 80's - all the people here using them to get out with the family and spend some 'green time' away from the TV, and all the other distractions that keep us from being all we can be for our families. I think the 80's size makes it more ideal for this than many other rigs, big enough for a family, small enough to fit where a Tahoe won't (barely).

very nice looking rig. im partial to white. hides the scratches better!:D you have a beautiful family.:) i envy your playground. i enjoyed your write up too. made me feel better that mine is not locked.

Yep, we use the cargo barrier a lot on trips. It helps keep camping stuff contained in the back without the risk of it flying around. We also have a an annoying friend named Dave that we take with us sometimes and it helps keep him contained safely.

Fixed it for you. :D
