Does it strike anyone else as funny that the wood dash costs as much as the locking diffs? Nice rig Beo!

We've joked about that in the past. My lockers have fared much better than the wood trim and gold package did.

These are based on George's design. As you can see, the cat skid should have been designed with better bracing or gussetting. Just to clarify, the cat skid was my handiwork, not George's.

But he'll only post bits and pieces of the pictures when he's had more than a few Keystone's. :flipoff2:

Ken,
The white Supra was owned by the guy that helped fab the sliders. :D

The Big Bang project is on hold along with all the other planned truck mods. Real Life has come to the forefront. If (and that's a big IF) it resumes, there will be lotsa wire, relays, a few BIG wires, switches, buzzers, fuses, and possibly sparks; hence the name Big Bang.

Kurt,
I spent 3 of the longest winters of my life in Wyoming. My heart truly goes out to you.

And thanks to everyone for the kind words. The wife doesn't know how much all this has cost so let's keep that our little secret.

B - Nice to see your truck and some of details. Your dual battery setup is in about the same condition as mine (mounted but no wiring). Maybe this winter I'll get around to mine.

I also like the front and rear bumpers, looks great.

Take care

I am only working in WY for a short time ( I hope!) I work and live in Rifle CO where the WIND DOESN'T BLOW ALL THE TIME!!!
ANd yes, the wind DOES blow all the time

What a beautiful rig with a nice stance. Do you have specs on the sliders? I like the way they were fab. Very kewl!

Very Nice Rig!

Just sent ya a PM

Is it possible to see a few close ups of the sliders from the side and in relation to the area under the doors? VERY nice setup!

Thanks

The sliders were built from the plans George has been kind enough to post. Mine were built about 4 years ago. I would change several things if I were doing it again. Firstly, I would buy Slee or Hanna's sliders. Barring that, I would butt the slider rail tightly to the step rail and have 4 mounting tabs for attaching the steps to the slider rail. I would beef up the cat skid or do something completely different (kinda like Ken's) Probably a few other things that I can't remember now but I have posted on in the past. (Search if you're interested.)

Nice rig. Love the way it sits. Mine's the same color setup, and I love it, too. I'd hate to park next to yours in a lot somewhere. I'd feel kind of small! BTW, good pic of White Sands. I live around 150 miles from there and the kids love it, too!

Hello from israel.
After 15 4x4 trucks and suv's, i finaly find the one i always wanted.
It's a 1994 LC with a 4.5 L engine.
Got it last year with 92k miles.

Modification's i made till now:
ARB rear locker.
BF mud 265/75/16 for now, next set will be 255/85/16.
A 4' hd lift by "tough dog", from down under.
A warn 8274 winch mounted on a home made front bumper.
Rear home made bumper.
Hella light's.
And some more.

Any chance you might have a pic of the pod mounted to your pillar? From what I have researched there isn't a mount specifically made for the 80 a-pillar, just wondering how its mounted.
Regards
Jayse

This is the best that I have right now. Let me know if you want one that shows more of the pod.

The pod is for a 90's Acura. I don't recall the specifics but the box may still be in the garage and I'll dig it out if you ask.

This is an old picture. The coloured tape for the temp ranges now looks a lot better. There is also an orange LED mounted in the pod to signal low coolant level. The Acura pod is OK but not perfect. Mine came in black so this was as close as I could get to the colour I wanted with a quick trip to Pep Boys for paint.
