Great truck. I saw it in person last Tuesday. The diesel swap is outstanding. Very well done. Hope we see you again on a run! Have fun in Alaska.

That is awesome to hear. 30mpg would be amazing. I don't expect that but that is the Gold Standard. Do you know what boost he was running at?

Canuck miles per gallon, with tall skinny tires, with his gps and a fill up he claimed a wopping 38 MPG:eek::eek:

Factory boost afaik...

Two thumbs way up on your rig...

Rob

That's a pretty machine. 12HT -- (drooooool)

Would love to see it in person sometime if you wanna show it off.

Of course I'd love to show it off. I will be out of town for a bit. I'll be in either Alaska or the remote parts of Canada from June 18 - July 27 but after that it would be great to get together with some cruiserheads.

Actually is anybody doing anything this Sunday, June 13th? I need to go off-road before I go to Alaska to just test some things out. Is Brown's Camp snowed in? I've never been. Actually I've never been anywhere off-road near Portland. Where are there good places to go?

Gosh, my rig is down but I bet you could talk to boots and dirtgypsy to show you around Tillamook State Forest/Brown's Camp (although they work a weird work schedule). Creeper Sleeper (80 guy) knows the trails pretty up there and is always down for some wheelin too.

Thanks for the comments guys. David does good work. I can't wait to get my '60 back this week. I'll take a video of the Mule running so we can all hear that sweet smokin' sound.

David from Kali?

Great guy, met quite a few years ago, bump into him once a year at the Texas round up. He does very nice work and only getting better.

Awesome stance. I really like it.

Hallman Pro...the best. How much boost are you running?

How do the 35's and 4.11's work?

And how do the alcans work with 35's? Any rubbing?

I don't mind the 4.11s and 35s. It was a little fast off-road with the h42 transmission but I have put in an h55 and I'm looking forward to the granny gear for off-road. I didn't have any problems on-road with 4.11s and 35s.

I do get a little rubbing on the front from the 35s and Alcans. I might put in 80-series bumper stops to fix that.

What an excellent story Chad!
Thanks for sharing the tips and tear-downs with us!

How did your furry passenger do off-road? He looked very content in the driveway. :-)

I haven't taken Lisa (my dog) off-road. I do take her hunting so she really looks forward to long trips in the '60 because she knows that she is headed out hunting. I'm not sure how she would do off-road. She loves to run so I don't think I want to keep an eye on her and drive at the same time.

I'm just across the river from you, up in Vancouver, WA. I know there are plenty of places in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest. Most of the trails you could run pretty fast, but if you keep an eye out you could find some tricky stuff that your Cruiser do. Some of it was a bit too much for my stock with 33x10.50s.

If you want to head out I couldn't do Sunday, but Saturday might work for me.

cool rig, i guess you'll love that 12ht, smooth engine. Mine's almost there.
I will try out the autolocker in the front, 61 locker in the back, with active 2LO usage.
If i get the same feeling you did, i need to get a new inner axle up front to swap.
Hoping to see some wheeling pictures soon!
