33x10.5x15. Tall and skinny is da bomb.

White letters out just like my ATs for sure :bounce:

Alright. The detour of getting those tires delayed my Blue Sea auxiliary fuse panel install, but I got it done last night. Honestly I was a little intimidated. I just did the wires one by one and it wasn't bad at all.

Parts/ Supplies:

- Blue Sea 5025 Fuse Block (6 circuit)

- 6 AWG Red wire for power

- 8 AWG Black wire for ground.

- Miscellaneous ring terminals sized to the wire, heat shrink

- Wire cutters, wire stripper, screw driver, 10mm, 12mm

- Power drill to mount the block and circuit breaker to the plastic which then mounts to the fender

- M4 nuts and bolts for the fuse block, M6 for the circuit breaker

So with all that I got a pretty nice outcome. I am going to mount it with more than one bolt on the fender. Right now it is resting on the AC lines, and bolted down pretty well. I think it will be okay for the time being.

The black plastic I used to mount it came from a laptop tray that I found in a truck at work. I assume its ABS or something pretty tough. That 90 degree bend was perfect. Took forever to cut with a box cutter though :hillbilly:

Right now all I have running off of it is my power inverter, and my HID headlight ballast. Those both were connected to the battery with inline fuses. I chopped past that and installed the small ring terminals and heat shrink. The fuses were in the fuse holders, so I just swapped them over. My amplifier power wire has an inline fuse, but probably exceeds the capabilities of this block. So I just slid it onto the (+) terminal of the block and then it has it's own fuse. That is what you see coming out past the short red wire between the breaker and block. Everything works just as it did before! Yay.

Hope you guys like! :wrench:

Pretty nice looking job. Once I get around to adding my auxillary box from SLCFJ62 I will add on of those terminals as well for other stuff.

Thanks gregnash :)

Got my Hella 500FF lights installed tonight.

Kinda confusing at first. Took me a while because I had never done it before, but they worked first try!

Is the green switch in their kit supposed to illuminate? Mine doesn't. Lol

Mine never worked either.... Lights look great!

Thanks Darrell!

Anyone else know the answer about the rocker switch for the Hella's? Light up or no?

A, I bought some 120W blue/white (1 million candle power I believe) bulbs for $4 on FleeBay for Marley.. The color would match your headlamps perfect. I prefer the "Blue" light. I see better with it.. Some people say they hate it.. I always liked it. I'll see if I can round up the seller if your interested. He had 55W to 150W.

Sweet. I was debating about going back to a standard H4 bulb in the Roundeyes. Therefore alleviating the mismatch. My HIDs aren't exactly the best. I might get a better light look from the HIDs, but the standard bulb would be fine.

I just wanna know if this switch is supposed to light up lol

Thanks J :)

Did the switch have 3 prongs on the back? If so, it should probably light up since one would be powering the light inside. Daystar switches are good and they light up all pretty like.

Looks like it is suppose to light up... But I saw were several have had an issue with the switch.. Here's one post....:

I had the Daystar switches in Marley, but they were obnoxiously bright in the morning or night IMO... I'd research a new switch that would dim with the OEM dash lights etc....

Yeah. I probably don't have the ground in a good enough spot. I'll play with it later.

In other news. I'm making progress on rebuilding my Aisin carb. I want to know how to do carburetors. I've got the 2F engine manual, Berryman Chem-Dip, tools and the great Pinhead YouTube videos at my side. Then I can sell this Weber (hopefully). Then further down the road when I have more time and a second car I can tackle this 2FE and put all these old 60 parts on another 2F motor :) I will work on making gradual progress with the build. I know there is interest.

Back in the day (aka 16 or 17 years old) I broke a screw on the choke shaft while noobishly trying to take the carb apart. I found replacement screws, drilled out the broken screw, and found a tap at the Local Hobby Shop. Thread is 2.5mm. Doesn't get any more descriptive than that haha. So now I've mended that. I'll put the choke shaft back in, and then rebuild the carb. I've had a Keyster kit and Toyota secondary diaphragm for some time.

Here are some pics of that stuff. I will trim and file the screws once it's installed :D

Wow! I extended the ground to a good spot. Got a bare surface. Still no light on the switch!

The lights work. So it must be grounded. Unless it would work with it undone from the ground. I'll have to try that next. I have 12V running to the switch. It's got a good ground. The other one should have been plenty. I am correct that the switch markings of "|" means on and "o" means off. Correct? I've swapped the wires from ground to positive on the switch. Nothing.

Here is a pic of the Hella switch mounted on a spare dash blank I had. 3/4" spade bit did the trick. A little finesse-ing got it good. The file on my Leatherman took care of the slot that prevents the switch from rotating.

FWIW, when I was trying to get my switch working I played with every combination of connection connected with little jumpers while the switch was unmounted and still couldn't get it to work. I gave up and just popped it into the dash and lived with it. Mine is mounted the same way as your.

Got my tires on!

33x10.5x15 BFG Mud Terrain KM2 on 15x8 Eagle Alloys (same wheels as before)

They aren't as loud as I thought they would be :)

They look great! And while I'm not a huge fan of white letters out, it looks really cool on your blue truck.
