Really liking the white letters out, looks good Kline! I wonder if it's too late to turn my BFG A/Ts around so white letters are out...
Thanks Dan. How many miles are on the A/T's? I 'd say just check the tread near the sidewall and if they are pretty close just do it!
WHITEYS OUT!!

WHITEYS OUTI like 'em. What's next A? I woke up thinking about a color change on Gossamer...
Oh HELL... here I go again.... J
Haha. Friend of mine gave me a recovery strap. Now I need to get one of those receiver shackle thingys. Doing a trail run in late February.
I'm still planning some Aisin carb action. And the Fuel Injection swap. I've got so many Landcruiser parts in my 1100 sq ft apartment it ain't even funny!
And I have to get more![]()
So I've been thinking about tire pressure.
I ran 35psi in my 33x10.5x15 AT's on a 15x8 wheel. The centers were worn more than the edges. I did not follow a good rotation pattern. So the tires actually coned a little too. (More tread on the inside than out.)
So with advice from the nice gentleman who mounted my tires I am running 25psi in my Mud-Terrains in the same size (33x10.5x15). I was waiting to see if any of you would say "those tires look low."
The aforementioned gentleman has some Toyo OC MT's in a 33x12.5x15. 40 thousand miles on them and the tread is perfectly consistent across the contact width.
Based on the load of the tire alone it seems like the math makes sense. It is for a max load condition, but I see no reason to run a greater pressure.
At 50psi one tire can hold 2500lbs. So at 25psi we can say 1250lbs per tire. 4 tires x 1250lbs = 5000lbs. My 60 only weighs ~4800lbs.
I should probably just do the tire chalk test I've always heard (and talked) about. If I actually owned chalk I would have done it sooner lol
I just wanted some opinions, and before you flame me the 60 drives well with 25psi in the tires. It does not pull as much on the road when hitting uneven patches and the ride is once again Lexus-like
Look forward to responses gents!
Hey Joe,
Was that on 15's or 16's?
J (not a Joe either lol) was running 15's.
I'd venture to bet that those tires would have worn in the centers just like mine running the same pressures as me on a narrower rim. Although Marley had a few pounds on me.... Hmm. Too many factors lol.
I think we all just need to keep rotations constant. Run a pressure we are satisfied with. Etc.
Oops my bad, saw -Joe- somewhere![]()
This is the one that I will be getting. Lots of people like it and it is portable so I dont have to permenantly fix it to the truck.
