Mine had the same label as yours on the white box but the plastic wrap had another label covering the one on the white box. Here is the label on the plastic wrap:

BTW, the only glitch I found so far is that the unit does not keep the Night Brightness selection. As soon you stop the car and the unit switch off, if you turn the car on again, the brightness setting goes back to Day time brightness setting. Would be great if in a new firmware update, Road Top make this setting stored in a non volatile memory or better, set a function where you can set the time of the day you want the unit to switch to Night Brightness setting, like Focus or Sleep on iOS. I already posted this request over YouTube on the video Road Top posted showing how to upgrade the firmware for the Generation 2 units. He is active over there as he already responded to the comment I posted earlier today.

May not be irrelevant since I do not have a LC/LX but I have a Lexus NX (same family), but based on my findings and thorough test, I have tried an elaborate phone call test and here are my findings:
1- The caller says that my voice sounded as if I am talking far away
2- The Caller says that they can hear themselves repeat as if it were an echo and find it quite annoying.

Upon talking and talking, the mic on the device is in fact located on the rear of the unit near the cutout of the speaker and that noisy fan, So if you were to mount the device flat against the dash or something that covers the rear, the fan noise will be projected to the mic and will emit a loud turbine like noise through your cars speaker.

I also find that when using phone call and hanging up, the music playing (spotify or youtube) does not emit any noise anymore whether pausing and playing again. Happened to my third party headunit also. Only way to solve this is the rest the Road Top.

The only solution at the moment which is cumbersome is to set the bluetooth device (road top) connected to the car set as for music and bluetooth phone connected to car set as phone calls only. When you try to make phone calls, only answer the phone with the call button on steering wheel and not the Road Top. If you answer by tapping answer on Road top, it will route through the devices bluetooth. If you you answer through button on steering wheel, it will route through microphone of car. When making a call, the same, through the cars phone and not through Road Tops carplay/android auto contact list. The caller says mic from stock car sounds far superior than any third party that I've tested, and that includes Grom Audio, Beatsonic and Lexion Automotive which I have tested. thought that since this device is linux based, that I can shove a usb car mic to override the mic from the device (worked on Raspberry Pi 4 running on linux with no installation needed, just plug and play) but no cigar. Reason I mentioned Raspberry Pi 4 was that I was in the process of building the Open Auto Pro head unit to test it out and found out that after purchasing parts for it, It exceeded around 500 dollars compared to Road Tops 200 + range.

Reason sharing my thoughts here is because This is the only active forum where people are talking about the Road Top device. I see no other part of forum sharing their issues or findings based on my intense google search and also no mention of 2nd Gen, So I decided to shed the light.
If anybody here has a solution to the bluetooth car problem, I am all open ears.

I have sent a video to the seller to see what they can do to help solve the issue.
These may be unique issues to each vehicle, but could also be the Bluetooth profiles being used by Toad Top. My gen 1 (I have gen 2 arriving tonight) does not recognize call answer from OEM steering wheel button or OEM screen answer or hang up button. However it routes the call on the Land Cruiser mic and speakers. The only time it does get confused if you are already on a call, get in the Land Cruiser and start the vehicle, in this case the call comes through as media and the caller actually sounds amazing to me but my voice is routed through RT mic. At first caller noticed echo in these scenarios which I solved through RT setting echo tuning…

This Morning, Road Top Reseller has gave me a firmware update for the device. I know each vehicle will have different issues, however, it's better to point them out just to see if other users like myself have similar problems. Will try it to see if the calling has made a difference after the update. I also had instances where after I make the call, my spotify or youtube music plays but no sound coming out.

Waiting for someone to post a stacked version on an LX.
I got you!
It's not near as clean looking as the LC but so far it works without issue. I'm gonna run it for a couple weeks to make sure I like it before I re-route cabling behind the dash and remove my MagSafe holder.

I also found a much better phone holder CD mount that adds lot of flexibility regarding positioning. Now I'm totally happy with the way my Road Top looks :)

I have a 2013 and I’m waiting on everyones’ reviews before purchasing. While I’m waiting, I’m considering mounting options. My first choice is gamiviti accessory plate, but had anyone considered mounting the unit lower, either in front of the radio controls or even lower in front of the 12V outlets?

I currently have a VL2 and like the level of integration, but the bugs, slow loading time, and poor resolution of the OEM display are killing me.

I just received v2 device and I’m not happy that the call routing does not go through the car like in v1… I might be keeping v1 after all

Update: Trying to revert to the Gen 1 device and it now cannot find the Land Cruiser...

Just received mine.
Read all 5 pages of this thread but still couldn't figure out that it's Gen 2 or Gen 1.
I didn't see any auto adjusting feature.
Any thoughts?

That’s gen 2
Wow... glad to know!

I've tried GROM before and this Roadtop is a far superior solution in terms of cost & clarity.
The screen clarify is just incomparable to the factory VGA looking screen.
Just wondering about its long term durability...

Anyone with better and more secure mounting solution without damaging the truck interior?
I like the look of carplay sitting high on the dashboard like LX600... much easier to glance while driving.

I've received a firmware update from Road Top's reseller and will report back to you guys if it's even worth it. So far with my limited testing, what only changed was the ability to change volume for phone, Navigation, music and etc. Individually. Ran a mic test and the sound went beserk on me and it was not pleasant, probably some setting I didn't switch properly.

How did you contact Road Top? I would like to try that firmware in my unit!!

Very nice!
So the firmware is newer than one that was installed on our recent units?
