Any hood glare on the 50" roof mounted? I see some light on the hood, so I guess it's a question of how annoying(or not) is it?

Almost no glare on the hood from the 50". I took a video of it and it lights up the hood but doesn't reflect back in your eyes. It is hard to describe but it is a soft light. It is almost comforting at night like driving in the daytime.

Maybe I can revive this thread with a question.

I'm looking to wire a dimmer switch to roof rack mounted LED light bars. With the lights being so bright it would be nice to be able to dim them while setting up camp.

anyone done this? any suggestions? Thanks

I don' t think all LEDs can be dimmed. This is why your bar will only fire if it has full 12v running to it. They are either on or off as far as I know.

LEDs that dim are somewhat new in the home industry, not sure they have been used in this type of application.

If anyone is interested I have two E-series LED light bars, Rigid 20 driving pattern and Rigid 28 combo, sitting in my garage. Would love to unload them if someone needs lights for a project... Let me know. Serious output!
