O'kay guys, we have them machined, polished and back from anodizing. Next step we will shipping them to the laser engraving shop to burn on the shift patterns.
BTW- When I prototyped the first one, it was off my 83 with the H55 5-speed. The thread from the shifter was a 12 X 1.25mm. From what I have read, this was this same for all the models. Can anyone verify with a nut or other means to verify on your trannies?
These should be ready to ship back to you all next week.
Keith

These look awesome.

Okay guys, we have them finished and ready for shipment. They came out very nice. As the shift pattern is placed on the knobs, we have no way of knowing where it will clock correctly, so we drilled/tapped for a set screw on the bottom of the knob thus allowing it to be securely positioned so as not the turn. We will include the set screw so it will be ready to install once it arrives. Go to paypal and send $60.00 to jeffersonstatemachining@gmail.com. This will cover everything to include shipping. Please remember to include your full name and shipping address where you want these to be delivered. As soon as I can get a break, I will start work on the transfer case knobs some of you asked for. ALSO, PLEASE SPECIFY 4 OR 5 SPEED AND HOW MANY YOU WANT OF THEM. Hope you all enjoy them.
BTW- I have tried desperately to uplaod photos of these but it just wont cooperate. So I'll post them to our facebook page/Jefferson State Machining

Just sent money for two of these. Thanks!

Sent $60 for one 4spd knob. Since I ordered early, can you give us existing customers 1st dibs on TC knobs? :grinpimp:

I really wanted a matched set but went ahead and ordered so I don't miss out on the transmission knobs.

No worries Kerry, we'll take care of you.

If I may be so bold as to offer suggestion for a possible future product offering......or, as I'd even consider it, place a custom order (after TC knobs, of course).

I'd like to have pull knobs for all OE dash functions made, with the inclusion of "FOG LIGHTS" and "COOL PULL" for my '78, in the same flavor.

Just putting it out there....

Hi Keith
Do you have without extra set screw?
Did all 5 speed have white base color?
Can I ask with black color base like 4 speed but in 5 speed?
Thanks

Benny
Hello Benny,
The set screw was necessary as with the originals once they are screwed down you could turn them abit further as the threads were just plastic. These being solid aluminum, don't budge. So the set screw(6-32) allows us to lock it down. I tried to place it in a inconspicuous spot so it's doubtful it will ever be noticed. As far as the other questions regarding color, please see the Facebook link for the photos. The 4&5 speed knobs have reversed colors as the originals. With anodizing the laser simply dyes out the base material leaving white to shine through. Are you asking if the 5 speed could be reversed to look like the 4 speed? Then yes I saved a couple of knobs that haven't need lasered just invade someone asked for a special let me know.

Delaney, that is a really great idea. I like to help by doing special projects and that oar would be a great option for everyone. The toughest part is getting everyone's attention so they know they are available. Just like these shift knobs, if this thread were on the 40's section there would be a lot more viewers. In all the years I've been on mud I never even knew about this section. And of coarse making small runs of parts from prototype to finish its hard to get the price down with enough numbers. But it there are enough guys that want the dash knobs I'll certainly donate my efforts to design and make them as its a really good idea actually.

Delaney.....

It's Delancy. :flipoff2:

I'll make it more a point to post 5 times a day with link to this thread in signature line, as well as any new threads started to market, AND spread word on the many FB pages that I don't ever log onto see.

Will aid in exposure, without your being guilty of asshattery, by association.

Really want the 'Fog Light' ('Fog' at a minimum) and 'Cool Pull', and see no other way to achieve.....and all knobs gotta match.

I've acquired more rare, unique, one of a kind' Cruiser parts than most would even dream to posses (possessed), stated self loathingly, not bragging.

No point in stopping short of finishing off the 6.5 of 10, '78 with OCD knobs of my dreams, ending the constant self-nagging thought of removing the uber cool fog lights, just because ih8theicon, or not installing AC because of lacking corresponding control.

Willing to accept the responsibility of procuring said knobs, even if the only set (which would be cool, but all know more would purchase).
