might need to send an email to Ehsan at <ehsankiani@yahoo.com> if he knew the amount of interest am sure he would get going on the project just as he came through for the 40s.....from what I could see from the pix and the reports the quality is outstanding...........hell; there are a lot of 55 owners out there that are hurting for sheetmetal

I think the idea of producing just the bottom 12 inches of front fenders is brilliant. For many of us, this is the portion that is rusted out where the rest of the fender is perfect. I'm sure whole fenders will still be useful, but I think quarter patches would sell like freakin hot cakes. They'd be less expensive to produce and to ship.

just a thought.

The bottom 12"s of the fender means the rear end right? This is the portion that gets rusted. This is very easy to make here. I am willing to get down and make what parts you people require. Email me with details. One of you has to step up and organize the group.

New E-mail Address To Request Parts

I know I'm new to the whole piggie scene, but I'd like offer try and organize this mess. It looks to me like if we ever want to get the parts we are going to have to get a formal request together, not just a bunch of people saying, "Hey! I want this!!" and "Me toooo!" :) So, I made a new e-mail account so that you can e-mail me and tell me what you are needing. I need firm commitments so we can figure out exactly how many of each part we need. I can't guarantee that every part requested will be made, but at least we can show exactly what we are looking for. So far, it appears that we are in need of the following: (Let me know if I forgot anything).

1.) Front Lower Fenders
2.) Floors
3.) Rear Quarter Panels
4.) Rear Wheel Openings
5.) Rockers

I will give everyone until the end of December to get their requests in. Then I will get it to both ehsankiani and Lomusass, since they both have shown interest in being the ones to fab the parts. Let's show them that there is a genuine interest in these parts so that he can get everything moving on their end. As far as what to include in the e-mail, I'll leave it up to you. The more information you get me, the easier it will be to get in contact with you to let you know how things are going.

The e-mail address is fj55parts@comcast.net

If we are shooting for the moon, and they are going to go for a whole body, why not add....

Pm sent to CRZYJKE with needed sheetmetal parts, appreciate the help in trying to put this together :)

I suggest rather than ask for "all parts" why don't those of you who are serious about actually placing an order, send the email to the organizer with your "top priorities"... you know, the parts you would actually shell out cash for TODAY.

Just my $.02.

Out of all of the products meantioned, fender patches are the only ones that could be sold without preorders. 90% of pigs out there need at least one, and a piece like that would be affordable and simple to ship. It doesn't need to have the molded lip either.

Is there really a need for the entire floor pan? It is put together in sections (early ones use less sections and have different pans). Why not just produce the front section that is a common rust spot.

For all the other parts, there are still enough donor pigs lying around in junkyards and backyards, you just are not looking hard enough. People usually say they will buy something like this until they see the price of a custom, high quality, minimum run imported product. keep it as simple as possible.

Have been looking for a couple of months now and have not run across fenders, need both uppers and lowers along with floor pans.....yes, the front parts are the worse but the rest is not far behind also would like rear quarters/wheel openings and rockers..........could use flat plate for the floor boards BUT would not be very happy :)

I got this pic of front fender patch panels. In AU Looks like 100 a panel. I'm going to do some investigating. The image is upside down.

Well I ordered these today. As well as a section of the chrome rain gutter trim. We will see what they come back on as far as shipping. I've got calls out to 3 sheet metal manufactures. Someone is bound to step up to the plate and make these parts for us at a reasonable price.

troll,
did the place you ordered them from make any other parts for the piggy?...floor pans?...rear quarter patch panels?...i am curious to see how shipping shakes out...keep us posted

thanks

Beggers cannot be chooser. lol.

This is the first I have heard of any sheetmetal that I can actually talk with someone and they can give me a date. The front patch panels are about 130 and the shipping quote was 69 dollars. Thats not bad. I'm checking on the rears and prices if bought in bulk.

any floor pans available?....i wonder if one could modify that rear patch panel and make a corner,,,maybe i will buy that phlanishing hammer i been looking at....the price don't sound bad at all...just curious...what is the time frame from order to door?....maybe you don't know that yet....let me know i am very interested in this as i am finally putting my 55 in the shop this weekend to get started on it's restore/update...thanks troll!

Hello there
I have been doing my homework on the different panels for the 55 and have come to the conclusion that all of these can be made here. I have decided to start production in a month or so. All panels and floorboards.
