Yea that's honesty the only reason to have an Amex, completely covered for any reason.

Yeah, and the travel perks. SFO is our home airport and we make heavy use of the Centurian Lounge, but also lounge access at all Delta lounges too.

Yes. AMEX customer service is unrivaled. Platinum perks are crazy this year too.

No joke. The regular perks more than cover the yearly fee for us, but the PayPal thing was a really nice surprise.

The HEST Dually mattress looks interesting although crazy expensive:

The only review I could find without looking hard is from Gear Review:

Seems like it would fit on top of a drawer system in a 200. May be an alternative to the Exped.

I'd be interested in similar options - albeit less expensive. Looking for something somewhat portable to use in my 80. Any options (that aren't $500)?

That said, I totally spaced and already used mine. As I need a sleeping mattress, I have no idea why I didn't use it for that (!!). I ended up picking up some new MTB shoes

Yeah, the Exped is always out of stock anyways. We have the REI version and it is ok, but we use these now:

Amazon product ASIN B07Z998YRV
They are fantastic, though a little bulky. They are at least as comfortable as our Exped and way cheaper than the Duo. Right now there is a $30 coupon on Amazon which makes them $169.

We have been using ours for about a year and a half and they have been great. We are pretty rough on our gear too. Our dog walks all over them and they get used on the ground regularly and we have not had any leaks. I initially bought one to try out thinking that I could return it if we didn't like it, but we were so impressed that we bought another one and replaced out REI doubles. So now we carry two of these. They are super insulated and amazingly comfortable. We use a small 12v air pump to inflate and deflate them.

Again, a little bulkier than the exped when rolled up, but not much and for the cost, it is totally worth it.

Fantastic! I'll have to check if 80" will fit, but I like the hands' on review... Will certainly look closer

Could go with the Nemo Roamer as well.

Bought a Dometic 75 with the 20% member coupon. Although Dometic’s website currently has them on sale for 15% off and I believe no cost for shipping.

Another place that you can get great deals from is Moosejaw. If you sign up for their rewards and emails they send out 20%, 25% and some times more on full price items.

Thanks for the tip, ordered!

Been watching prices on Exped Duos in preparation for a GFC Superlite RTT that'll be on it's way. This option seems to be a no brainer with solid reviews and being less than half to price.

Like you mentioned a fridge or goal zero are probably the best choices.
Jackets can get spendy, a few year ago I picked up an Arcteryx AR and thru it in the back in case of rain. I've used it plenty.
This year I was just going to pick up a lifesaver jerry can but they are out of stock. Maybe a rumpl down blanket. First world dilemmas for certain.

Steepandcheap also running $40 off $200. And I just bought a rope a couple weeks ago.

Also, if you're a college student or military/first responder (and I THINK teachers?), you can get a baseline 20% off just about damn everything. Go through the ID.me thing in checkout if you fall in any of the qualifying categories.

The NEMO camp shower is not a bad option:

Needed to replace our aging tent. Just bought The North Face's Wawona 6p tent. Excited to try it out.

It now has double wall instead of single wall (separate instead of integrated rain fly), which seemed to be the only hangup people had with the previous version.

Camp furniture is always good. This is the only table we carry now. May think about a second one:

Quick product review: buy this. Carrying bag will break over time, sometimes very little time. Great table.

+1

the Exped is great. Get the wider model, it will munge around corners. I've used this for ADV motorcycle trips and in the truck. Assume that you will supplement the self-inflating with the inflation-bladder thingy for proper stiffness.

Man, I love that tent and wish we would have waited. We ended up buying the REI Kingdom 6 which is also a great tent, but the Wawona is the bee's knees. We have friends that have the original and it was amazing as a 3 season tent (Winter, Spring, and Fall), but was brutal in anything above 68 degrees due to the single wall and minimal ventilation. It was insanely weatherproof though. I hope the new version is as well made as the previous one.

Once you've had some time with it, you should do a gear review. I'd be very interested in a real field test with it.
