So here is the front end getting mocked up after the body lift. I ended up getting an AU spec front headlight and grill setup. Also bought some ebay led lights for fun. 100$, could not resist the way they look on the truck!

Sorry man, I usually don't have revulsion to something, but those headlights are like gold-plated teeth. To each his own. I don't think that would look good on anything from any era.

On another note, have you thought about dumping the carb for fuel injection?

hehe, +10 points for working revulsion into a sentence. I took "Charles" to work today, those LED's are no joke!

On another note, have you thought about dumping the carb for fuel injection?

Both 80s are fuel injected, Dickens has a TBI 350 and Charles has the 1FZ...

Back to important items, My stage 4 kit is on, however like most cruisers that go from stock to lifted, additional items must be installed. So First off I am going to install our #Blackhawk #Slinkylongtravel adjustable upper rear controls arms. These are really nice due to the fact they have fine thread adjusters and use factory type rubber bushings. They even come with new hardware!

FWIW those LED's are blinding everyone. You really need something with proper cutoff - best option being JW Speaker LED projectors.

It's a drop-in universal 4x6. You would need all the brackets/trim/corner lights from a non-US quad headlight truck.

I agree with you on the cutoff line, However I can't justify 750$. So with that said my 100$ lights work just fine!

JW Speaker makes terrific headlights, we have used them with no complaints in numerous customer builds. The current headlights work great and are aimed down a bit more than normal as to not be intrusive. The only barrier to entry on JW speaker's is the cost, in that case I would say you get exactly what you pay for!

The low beams light the bottom row of LEDs on both units, and high beams light all LEDs on both units.

So install is pretty was easy. I set them to factory lengths, just to see what the pinion angle does when I change out the lowers. Here is a pic of the factory bolt and the new bolt. I also used anti-seize on the bolt threads. It's a habit of mine! Putting the axle at ride height and changing them seems to be easier than dropping out the suspension. You just have to deal with lack of room with hand tools. Pic was taken on the lift after I had them swapped. The only thing I ran into was the frame side bolt interferes with the LSVPB. I just unbolted it from the mounting plate to get enough room for the bolt to be re-installed.

With the uppers in it's time for new lowers. Since I am running 37's rubbage is always an issue. With that said, I want to test out our new #Blackhawk 80 series lower HD control arms. These are 11mm longer than stock and should get my pinion angles corrected with factory length uppers. It will also re-center the tire in the well a bit. I'm a fan of the long life span of factory bushings and these have the same concept. Larger tuber diameter than stock and a heavier wall thickness should take care of my beatings.! Unwrapped for the first time!

Getting side tracked. #MetricTLC goodies showed up for both builds!!!! Sub mounts, acc rear cargo mounts and CB radio antenna mounts!

Ordered some switches from #Slee! Going to use these for front and rear aux lights.!

Cup holders in an 80 is a must and the CB radio I am using. Slim and hidden for the Interior doodads is just my style!
