It's anti-seize time! Making sure everything gets coated for rust resistance! Also wire wheel the lower shock bolt and tap out the hole with a 12mm tap. Then coat the bolt as well with the scoobi juice!

Cut the lower shock shields to this dim and de-burr. This is so the shields don't hit the shaft under compression!

These parts are included in the stage 4 kit. We installed these to not allow the resi to rotate under suspension movement. Align the resi's so the lower link, sway bar and frame don't touch the resi. Also we used a flap strap to hold the chock body with out holding the resi. Don't hold the resi. It can damage the shock

We used a floor jack to help the sway bar extension kit get enough threads in the hole and compressing the new bushings!

Installing the front section of the kit tomorrow. Our plan is to run 37's on both trucks, so we get to move the axle forward with some sweet plates and bushings for the Rad arms!

Great build Justin! My Colorado gig did not work out so I'll be staying in Missouri however I'll be in touch about your slinky suspension soon. Thank you for your hospitality while I was out there in December.

A lot of great info in this that will definitely help others.

Great write up so far. Good quality photos and explanations. Those that just read posts have no idea how much additional time it can take to do a nice write-up. Thanks - we appreciate it!

Applying the anti-seize is a great idea.

Everything in your vicinity becomes "silver dot city" when you break open that stuff!

Ok, so Jay's front end has a sweet power steering pump leak and covered everything on poo, so it was a slight deterrent when we had to go in and swap brake lines. The funny thing is after we put all the new lines on, that we supply in the kit, he tells me he want to put custom stainless lines on! Will post pics of these when they get installed.

Note: It's always a good idea to powerwash the underside before jumping into work. We got ahead of ourselves on this one and paid the price. Yuk

After putting on the new lines we tore out the shocks and front springs! Found these sweet gems in the process!

More nasty covered parts getting removed for relocation prep.
Our next stage is to move the front axle forward, to clear the 37's. We are going to use our rad arm axle relocation brackets 25mm of movement and an additional 8mm offset bushings.

So, why did you cut those down?
Do they hit something?
Yes on the stage 4 they can hit the Piggy backs on compression, so we don't want that.

Stage 1 up they go full size, stage 4 they need to be trimmed to miss the resi on compression.
