I generally do all maintenance myself, but my wife’s LX570 needs the valley plate re-seal, and I am not sure I want to take it on.

I am in Brevard and there is only one decent shop around here, wanted to see other recommended shops or dealers. Is the Lexus dealer in Greenville any good? What about any of the Toyota dealers around the area? Would love any recommendations or suggestions. Thanks!

Just did mine, and it is definitely a PITA, but a great way to learn!

How long did it take you? I mean I am sure I could do it, but it looks very tedious. What all did you replace?
It took me 12 or 14 hours the first time, maybe 6 hours the second time. If you can get it right the first time, go for it. I had an o-ring roll or pinch, resulting in coolant dumping out the trans area. Lying and kneeling on top of the engine that long help me discovery profanity I did not know I had in my vocabulary.
I followed this procedure by Faye Hadley, with lots of petroleum jelly on the o-rings the second time.

If I had it to do over again I would consider an SAIS delete kit from Hewitt to avoid putting the bypass valves back in place.
