Looking for a really good body shop that can replace a rear sill and one corner panel, want it done right.

Thanks!

Is this on a FJ40? If so might want to provide the parts your self. Rear sills are tricky to do right. Believe Kevin (Awl_TEQ) is still selling his replacement sills. Probably one of the options out there. Haven't looked real close at my 76 but I know my 68 the top edge of the sill is three layers. Really want this done right, even more so with the weight of a hard top if yours has one.

Yes,For our 68 also, purchased the sill off a member that got it at SOR. Need to buy a rear corner also that I dented in transit.

Thanks Living for the input! Great Threads.

I have a FJ25 and a couple early FJ40s that need the rear sill replaced. I will sell these off before I tackle a rear sill. A few years back someone from Tempe showed in the 40/55 section with a 66 FST he had just purchased. Guy was just looking to do cheap restore and flip. He didn't do a proper fix on the sill. Even without a hardtop the sides were sagging outward. On my 68 which is rust free I can feel a very slight bow on the corner sill from all the years driving on bumpy roads up north. The weight of the top is on the wheel wells and the wheel wells are mainly support by the B pillars and rear sill. By the B pillar the floor has a corner that helps support the wheel well. In the back it's mainly the sill. Not sure what your replacement sill looks like but I don't believe anyone makes one that would be a three layer like from the factory.
