Gents, thinking of trying to sell my truck. I have it mechanically sorted, professionally painted, albeit, I hit a bunch of deer and dented the pass side. There is no rust on the cab. Chassis was stripped and painted. Now its fluid filmed, to keep it from rusting.
Thinking 6k. Is it worth posting in the classifieds, or go straight to ebay and such?
Don't sell it. If you do decide to, you might get a PM from me... I would list it on MUD over ebay, at least to start with.

Can you post up some current photos?

Yesterday on a FB Group for these trucks a guy said, "You know this is the worst time to be selling one of these." A few guys agreed. But none said why, e.g. time of year, economy, that general up/down shift in vintage car/truck prices, etc. Any idea why now isn't a good time to sell an old Toyota truck?
They command high dollar on BAT and cars and bids. I'm not looking for high dollar, just trying to thin the herd. I have an itch for a Duramax, lol

I'll post some current photos. I was toying with the idea of getting a bigger truck. An LBZ Duramax to be more exact.

NOooooo! Definitely not! No! Negative! Uh-uh! Nein! Nugatory! Fuggetaboutit! Your rig is so cool! After all that work ... Geez ...

Yeah, I am like the damn wind. I changed my mind already she is here to stay.
😆

I’ve seen your truck…I was just waiting for you to post the asking price!

Oh yeah, how did that motor work out for you?
I will probably be keeping this darn thing for ever. I've already owned it for like 14 years

All worked out fine…. I have had my oldest vehicle 16 years and put over 297,000 miles on it. And…. It was a Ford F-150.

Enjoy the truck but if you change your mind, drop a note..

And since it ain't going on the market, it's getting a new csf rad. My current plastic and alum aftermarket rad that was in the truck when I got it 14 ya is throwing a bit of steam here and there. This should solve that problem.

This thing is neat. I had heard about CSF but never really seen one up close.

Ha a real bad oil leak on the front of the motor. Now this thing's been resealed 2 years ago when motor was out. I went ahead and cleaned the motor real well, replaced the o ring on the dizzy, and threw in a new oil pump for good measure.
Drove the truck last night, it was dark so I haven't checked it yet. I am surprised at the simplicity of this engine.
Some pics for good measure.

I did add sealant to the bolt beneath the timing mark tab on the pump, per fsm as well.

Still leaking! Looks like from the right hand side up high around maybe water pump? Are there any bolts in the waterpump that go through oil passages that need sealant? I replaced the waterpump ages ago without any leaking issues. I am gonna take it back apart again since it just started leaking. Perhaps it will be easier to identify, because it's not everywhere yet.

Pic on bottom shows where I think it may be coming from. I have to take the bastard apart again.

Gee A…. Sorry this is becoming a pain…but…glad you’re doing a good job on my truck !!! 😉

Well …kidding aside, I know when you had that noise in the drive line, you just keep plugging away until you found it…good luck`

I looked now with my black light. It's definitely coming from under and behind the power steering pump.
