Yeah, but that one does not have a slam latch.

Hope the pictures come back, want to check out your install.

Another Phil idea I'm stealing!

Nah...I think it's Phil. What the hell did you go and break now...??

What the heck!?!? Why is it that recently everyone is posting cool stuff I want. I love the boat hatch idea and that size seems perfect. One for each side of the tailgate. Craaap! Now I have another mod to add to my list. My wife is gonna get pissed when she sees my updated mod list.

Subd. Hopefully I can see the picture eventually. Still don't load for me.

You know if you put that spare tire where it belongs. You would not have to stuff crap in your tailgate.
" I know I'm not the only one to think this". Any ways clean job. Yes its added to my list

Ahhhh.....liking this one very much (and the avoided cost of the big WG one) - I've been stashing/pushing around the cargo area - a pair of jumper cables & a tow strap (cheapie for on-road "good guy" situations) & always wanted to use the space inside the tailgate, but wasn't willing to fork out ~$400 for a WG setup(nice as they seem) - nor did I **need** WG space.

Funny thing is I walk on that same style hatch on the bow of my boat where anchor rope stashes, never did the math & thought of this.

Phil you said the hatch doesn't sit on the wood that the carpet is glued to so how far does the hatch protrude? My drawers clear the carpet by about 1/2" and it appears this hatch would clear.

X2 on this question. I would like to know how much the hatch protrudes up from the carpet.
