Im in need of cover when you're ready

@TrekboxX , If you're thinking of group buy, I wonder how to let other folks know these will be available? I know there are members who want a set, but don't happen to be monitoring this thread right now.

Does anyone have any of the screen protectors they want to sell? 86292 in the diagram below.

Hi, first time comment (but huge fan of IH8MUD for a while now)....I pulled the video screens in my '16 after my uncle inadvertently pulled on the monitor while getting in the 2nd row seats (he's older and it looked to be a good hand hold) and cracked the plastic base. Thank you TrekboxX for looking into a fix!! Count me in for whatever you develop; my preference would be black plastic cover.

Does this cover work on the LX?

The site I use for parts reference shows the same part number for the monitor for both Lexus and Toyota. I assume the mounting base is the same, especially since it looks identical in photos of the Lexus and Toyota seat back.

I was able to order the vinyl covers from the Toyota dealer and they arrived with the Lexus logo embossed in them. Pretty funny. They cost about $75 for both. I think 86292-60030 ended up being the part number.

I have an lx570, and removed the screen today. The screen was hitting the back of an infant car seat, making the car unusable for me (but not the wife). But now there’s a 12V white connector and a neutral (ground) wire loose. Can these shock someone if touched?? Could they be hazardous? Should I leave the neutral connector bolted on to the middle bolt?

Thanks !!

@570mano , No, they can’t shock you and are not hazardous. I would reattach the ground wire to the middle bolt and put the nuts back on the other 2 bolts so you don’t lose them. Just leave the connectors tucked in out of the way. There is a group buy for plastic covers for the holes in your seats in another recent thread you can find with a quick search.

Edit: found it for you; see the last few posts about the new group buy.

You’re a good guy, man, thanks for the help. I am ordering one of the plastic covers from Trex. My wife is having our first baby tomorrow so I’m trying to get everything squared away.

Congrats on the new baby!

Smart move I took one out for our 2 month old. It was tight with a car seat and TV in there. Congrats!

Thanks @TrekboxX The covers worked out perfect! I'm glad a community like this and someone like you stepped up to alleviate the pain point!

I seriously might order these just to see the look on my kids' faces when they get in the back seat.
BAHAHAHAHAHA
