the transfer case was the only clean oil...
the front diff was ugly thick and metallic looking with lots of peanut butter on the plug and metal shavings..... may have never been changed... when I did my 91 the first time it was much worse.... The rear was OK just a little peanut butter on the end of the plug...
When I picked up a filter I was given a tiny filter, told the guy it was the wrong one (O'Riely only place that sells WIX filters) mine was a shorty but regular circumference.... Went home no large filter wrench, went back bought filter wrench, remove filter and brought it back (FRAM brand) 3 trips later I had the correct filter the first time..... (while looking for a 24mm socket found large oil filter wrench) After seeing/knowing this:
I freaked when the drain plug was not where i expected it to be......
