Who listens to the radio and cd's anymore?:p

With this setup it you leave the dash OE and unmolested. Aftermarket head units always look terrible.

Even easier!
I have a little Samsung MP3 that has decent FM tuner as well...
Good idea!

I just ordered me one of these:

I'm gonna install it under the seat and keep the original AM radio in the dash. I figure they are super cheap right now because they aren't compatible with the new iphone 5. I have some old amps that I was going to buy a cable for to hook the iphone to the amp; until I came across this deal.

Cable alone was $45. This one is Sony with cable, amp and remote control for $50!

I wanted a cable that hooked to the dock so that it would charge the iphone while driving. I've got my old 3g that still has all my music on that I will probably leave in the pig full time, might try to find an adaptor for when I might occasionally use the new iPhone 5.

Anybody got any experience with these? Ill need to look at speakers. Maybe a pair of the 3.5 in 2-ways, sitting on each far corner of the dash. That's about as far as Ive gotten in the firming up stage of the install. What follows is very nebulous and certainly open to suggestions from the wise porciatricians, porcktologists, and general family porcktitioners.
Maybe some 6" 2ways in each door? put a couple 6x9s in boxes under the front seats? Hang them from the roof(getting a little far from the stock look there, though)?

Suggestions?

I should get it in in a week or so. I'll let you know what it looks like.

Here it is. Looks pretty compact and simple.

One wiring bundle goes to the speakers, power and ground. The other bundle comes from the factory radio speaker outputs, and inputs into the Sony unit.

Remote switches source back and forth between iPod and radio; controls volume; and skips tracks on the iPod.

I probably won't use the cradle. Looks like the end of the cord that runs from the unit to the cradle can be plugged straight into the iPod.

I'll take pics when I get around to installing it. Gotta find some speakers first.
