Just to validate my thinking about the rear doors. Here is a photo snatched from serie4 of a 79 double cab with the short rear door. The only think I'd have done differently would have been to stretch the frame and eliminate the wheel cutout to the back of the cab.

That's one good looking duel cab , it's good how they keep the low roof,
what about the foot space for the back passenger feet as the troopy and utes have the higher floor pan than
