Have you been watching this listing? Have you called the dealer and they've told you—"yeah, we've had it for three or four months; perfect condition though!"

Well, I just had a mobile mechanic inspect the vehicle. Photos attached.

Severe corrosion, leaky exhaust, broken sway bar, repainted rims, repainted frame. They didn't take it out for a test drive because they didn't feel it was safe to drive.

But if you have an LX 450 you're looking to sell, please get in touch with me!

I called them about a couple trucks when I was looking for mine and got a creepy vibe; everything was always perfect. I had to come from KY to FL to look at their stuff and finally figured out I would rather not deal with them. Sure glad I didn’t fly down and waste my time.

I don't recognize what is in the center of this cover plate where the locker switch can be located.

On top of the undercarriage rust, the rear heater has been bypassed so the heater pipes have likely rusted away. Rear wind/dust deflector is missing but the mounts are present?? Problem with that is the mounts will fill with water (no drain hole in the mount) and there is a mounting screw inside that cavity. Engine has the typical oil leaks but the valve cover and air filter assembly (can/box) looks like they've been sprayed with flat black paint??

This vehicle may been discussed here before (dent on the right D pillar looks familiar)??

If you have a lift, some time, a scaler and wire brush.....and the price is right.....could be an OK buy
I beg to differ with this advice as rust is pure cancer which should be avoided if at all possible. Most of us do not have the money to remove all corrosion from a rust belt rig. No amount of money saved can justify the amount of effort that is needed to maintain this vehiclefor the entire length of ownership. A rusty vehicle is a nightmare to work on and will provide years of frustration and anger.

Just say no!

I have that same year and color lx450 that's actually in good condition. PM me if you want to talk.

If a dealer doesn't even have an email domain of their own... that's already a red flag in my book. They can't manage one or they've been blacklisted... This is a buy here pay here lot masquerading as a "Premium Used Car Dealer". No I'm not going to email your pedestrian Gmail address with random numbers at the end lol

A used car dealer is being a sleezebag? Shocker. I'm more entertained by the mobile mechanic not wanting to take it for a drive. Grow a pair and take it around the block like the big boy mechanic you're supposed to be. I'm sure that dealer would've even provided him with a chaperone to calm him down in case a CEL popped up during the test drive on this 30 year old vehicle.

Offer $3000 spend $10,000 or more.

Actually—to those of you on the thread here, I would love to get a chance to drive a stock 80-series or LX450 before I buy one. Anyone here have one in Western Mass or Southern VT/NH who would want to take me out for a drive? DMs open!
